Let’s please stay away from politics on this board. I do not want this board to become what Utefans became.
Go Utes!!!
Utefans was run into the ground by the person holding the reins. Political discussions did not cause its downturn.
Strongly disagree
Well you’re right about the person holding the reigns, but politics and religion equally destroyed it. It became a site for progressive politics and anti-mormonism for all intents and purposes.
There was plenty of Utah sports discussion, but it took weeding to find it. I do understand how that was frustrating for many. See my forum platform comment below.
It was also a terrible forum platform that gave non-sports talk the same level as Utah sports discussion, as it lacked a category system.
RE: I just popped over to the site. They have a new platform with categories now. It looks clean and organized with active participation.
And, don’t get me started about the ads.
I wish Covid-19 wasn’t politicized.
I’m personally good with sticking to football talk, but I’m also good with people blowing off a little steam if that helps.
Ask your doctor if Covid is a political matter or not.
Don’t ask Dr Fair though. Ask your personal doctor.
UFN has had a complete overhaul. The forum software is much improved (their format actually works better for me than UH…no offense Tony), there’s no ads, and you have to intentionally opt in if you want to see a single political thread at all.
I frequent both sites and see far more political talk here than I do over there. There is a much stronger conservative focus here, and a progressive focus if you do get into R&P at UFN. Whether that’s a good or bad thing is personal preference, I suppose.
Just FYI, for those who were thinking UFN was the same as before.
Thanks, SkinyUte. What does R&P stand for, by the way?
Religion & politics.
