What’s his status for the last few games?

That’s a great question. The debate is can they win enough to keep the 1 seed and still rest him or does it benefit the team to get him back in during the regular season before the playoffs begin? I say rest him and Connelly for the playoffs.

He (they, including Connelly) might also be rusty in his first few games if he waits ’til the playoffs, though the Jazz should get a relatively easy match-up in the first round.

I feel you want a few games out of them before the playoffs if possible.

The unknown factor in all this is the 8th seed could conceivably be the defending champs with their stars all back.

Connelly might be back as early as tomorrow. Mitchel is scheduled to be reevaluated Friday, so that’s the earliest he will be back.

And Golden State followed up win over the Jazz by beating the Suns the next night.

 

Crazy that the top 2 teams will likely face Lakers and Warriors in the opening round.
