Brewer is one hard hit away from being out for the year. He is small, and has been rather injury prone.
that is all
Injuries happen.. Fact of life in a violent sport and every team gets bad news almost weekly. Spring, Fall…doesn’t really matter because I can assure you we suffer significant, impactful injuries in each segment. This year is no different. We have Four – 4 star QB’s in the program along with two intriguing younger guys. That’s P5 depth.
We will have two starting quality guys ready to start the Fall and you’re further along with Costelli and JQJ as well.
QB is the least of my worries honestly and I haven’t felt that way in I don’t know how long.
I love Whitt’s view on injuries- every team has them, they’re a part of the game and we’re not going to use them as an excuse.
Ummm, Brewer absorbed the biggest hit of the year in 2020 and popped right back up, see video below. He’s averaged 11 games played per year across 4 seasons.

Damn. I guess he answered the question on whether he can take a hit or not.
I know I know… I deserve thumbs down for that post. I’ll shut up now
As they say on the twitters. RATIO!
This same thing could be said for any player on any college team. That’s life. Why would you look at the glass being half empty? AND – we have depth. I am not going to worry about it. I admit going into 2004 – I was worried because our backup was a 17-year-old kid with no experience. But, this is very different!
I’d also like to remind you that any time you leave your house, you could die in a car accident. Don’t ever leave your house, ever.
Don’t take showers! Every time you get in you could slip and break your neck. Word to the wise!
You never know when a plane could crash into your house.
