Highly rated receiver out of Notre Dame. Big receiver. I would like for utah to get him.

      Tobias Meriweather-
Sounds like a British cricket paddler-
      I hope he’s a good wide out!

Receivers are more interested in playing 2nd 3rd string elsewhere rather than 1st here, should speak volumes

until Rising showed up in our Pac12 era, our offenses have been less than stellar and why our defenses have had to play both offense and defense. Whitt has never trusted the offensive side of the ball, ever, outside of Brian Johnson and Cam Rising

Only time the offense looked semi-competent for a full season was 2019 and even that ended with a massive thud vs Oregon in the Pac-12 title game and Texas in the Alamo Bowl.

Rising elevated things so insanely and almost effortlessly that I think some Utah fans just assume it can be replicated rather easily.

I am hopeful Dampier can become Rising II but considering even he has a rather average passing game and Im not sure.

What I do know is that i don’t think Whitt will trust the offense much if Dampier is out there with an equal touchdown/interception ratio.

Are you suggesting that Whitt should trust an offense where the QB has an equal TD/INT ratio?

                  Uh no.

I’m saying that if Dampier is throwing like he did last year, the offense is likely to resemble what we generally saw pre-Rising – a conservative offense with a game manager under center. Traditionally, that style of offense has limited Utah’s potential but also a big reason these receivers are skittish coming to Utah.

My point is that Utah likely knows what they’re getting with Dampier so I’m not sure I’d expect something aggressive.
