I think that is fair, though we played great in the last CCG. We’ll have plenty of fan support there.

Barnes is a ton better than Jon Hayes. Hayes could hardly throw a football. Barnes throws the ball quite well.

I don’t think there is really any reason for Ute fans to whine about Yogi Roth. Dude has been talking up Utah for YEARS. He’s given our team more positive press than just about anyone else on planet earth.
A note on the special teams: Yes, kicking has been bad, and kickoffs as well… but BUT there has been improvement since last year in our…[Read more]

I don’t do predictions but just a few things to point out.
– I think losing Ellis is huge, because we already lost Fillinger. We are started to get pretty thin at DE (admittedly, I have no idea if Ellis will be out or not).
– Also we are extremely banged up. Hopefully Cam is closer to 100%, as well as Kincaid. We will also need JJ, Glover, and…[Read more] -

My thoughts exactly. If he’s any good, his RA year isn’t going to mean anything. Just play the best players.

How is it worse than college though, in terms of ON COURT product. Yes, tons of the stars are unlkeable asshats… but you can’t watch an NBA game, then watch an equally important MBB game, and tell me that the MBB college game was better. You just can’t. One has players that have actually mastered their craft. The other has players that, in many…[Read more]

I disagree. The on court product of the NBA is far superior. Still has problems, but at least we aren’t watching the Riley Barton’s of the world pass the ball around and chuck up a contested 3 at the end of the shot clock.

I swear I enjoyed it when I was a teenager and earlier. I went to over 100 MWC games (most of them not including a team I was a fan of), and the vast majority of them were entertaining. Even watching on the TV was a ton of fun. I don’t recall Men’s Basketball being this downright awful. It’s not just the Utes. Unless it’s a tourney game with two…[Read more]

Is Ritchie all that good though? He seemed to be in the right position for a lot of plays, but a step or two behind all the time. I wasn’t disappointed with his play given his inexperience, but he wasn’t a standout performer. That’s obviously not bad considering he was so new… but Bishop and Vaki have not been that way. They’ve been making plays…[Read more]

Yeah… Hobbs ended up becoming a decent player on defense, but he was not good for the majority of his time at the U.

for me it’s not so much about his being a TSPP alum as it is him just being a really REALLY unlikeable person. He’s pretty much the dictionary definition of a douchebag.
Dude went to prom at his old high school when he was the starting QB at BYU… with TWO dates. I don’t hope for people to fail, but I think it’s hilarious that he is where he is…[Read more]

chinngiskhaan started the topic Anyone that actually watches the games know why Saunders doesn't play at all? in the forum Basketball (Men) 2 years, 8 months ago
I heard he was the quick PG we’ve been searching for… Worster is just a taller, somehow slower version of Rylan Jones.
So what’s the deal, why no Saunders? -
chinngiskhaan replied to the topic I would do everything we possibly can to get an elite transfer WR and or TE in the forum Football 2 years, 8 months ago
that’s true, but he’s not really a traditional WR type either. I just want a dominant WR who can go out and get a catch when we need. Have we EVER had someone like that? Carrington was pretty close, but he also wasn’t much of a deep threat.

chinngiskhaan started the topic I would do everything we possibly can to get an elite transfer WR and or TE in the forum Football 2 years, 8 months ago
Our team would be sooooo much better if we had even 1 wide receiver that was capable of taking over a game. Vele has been fine, but the fact that he is our best WR since Carrington is ludicrous. I don’t care if they are a slot receiver, a deep threat… whatever, just a WR that is capable of winning 1 on 1 matchups every single time.
If that…[Read more] -
chinngiskhaan replied to the topic We are bad on the road. Who’s at fault? in the forum Football 2 years, 8 months ago
Have you considered that maybe the team just isn’t good enough to beat more talented teams on the road? Our offense, in it’s current injured state, is severely lacking in the talent department.
