This is my favorite stats to share re BYU and its supposed national following. It’s the worst TV game of the year for most of their opponents.

You had me at Justin Thomas underrated.

For the crazies BYU sports has some religious importance, symbolic of the Great Movement. For most though it’s not even that serious. It’s mostly Uncle Rico (back in 84…).

The Lavell years were a huge outlier and the program reverted to the mean. Who cares if they think Utah fans are arrogant. They still think they’re equal. They are 6-4 vs Utah State since 2010 and 0-9 vs. Utah. Who is arrogant?

They are one of maybe four or five mulligans on the schedule. Frankly if Utah loses, we have much bigger issues.

The case is tortious interference of contractual relations. If the Big XII dissolves UT and OU don’t have to pay the exit penalty. If AAU picks up XII castoffs then ESPN can capture that too.

Heard today from several people that B1G only would be interested in adding schools from the AAU (Nebraska no longer, but was when it joined league). Texas is AAU member, along with Pac-12 schools like Cal, Washington, Colorado, USC, UCLA, Oregon, Stanford. Oklahoma is not AAU.
