Utah ran a few offensive formations that we haven’t seen. Maybe they just needed practice.

Leach is so awesome.  One time he was briefly interviewed at halftime when his team was playing terrible defense and had allowed a lot of points.  The interviewer asked “What does your defense need to do in the second half?” Leach responded “tackling the guy with the ball would help”.  Then he promptly ran off to the locker room. 

I wonder about Whitt. Bringing the Utes out of the MWC into the Pac-12 must have required an incredible amount of energy and anxiety, both physically and mentally. So does the D line. 

ASU beating Washington is amazing enough. But Washington without a point in the 4th quarter is stunning. It could definitely be a real dogfight against ASU. 

I agree about the D. The lack of sacks this year is really concerning. And, good grief, that 3rd quarter was painful.

I agree. If true then that is too bad. I actually kinda liked Boney’s tweets, even though he’s a Y fan. He kind of breaks through the stiff BYU fans that have such a dry, lame sense of humor or no sense of humor at all.

It would be great to win Penei Sewell. One of the top offensive line prospects in the nation.  But with Alabama and USC in the mix, I doubt he’ll choose Utah. 

Good grief. Even BYU is better than us  on 3rd downs, and they’ve played against much more difficult defenses. 

Mike Norvell is the coach of Memphis. He was the offensive coordinator at Arizona State under Todd Graham a few years back.  That’s when they were pretty good and had a good offense especially when Taylor Kelly was QB. Somebody posted on another board that they had spoken to the family of Chase and they said he could be out 2 to 4 weeks. I have no idea how to verify this. Just reporting what I read. 

Glad we got Simpkins. I briefly met his parents just after the spring game. Very nice people. Yes.  His parents flew in from Florida just to see the spring game. What awesome family support.
