Of all the current players, I think Landon has the most Pick6s. I see him picking up another one this year–maybe against West Virginia.

Unlike 2024, I believe that the streak will continue very early in the season. Personally, I’d look for it to happen either versus Cal Poly or Wyoming.

The answer is yes. The only question to be asked is who will continue the streak? I’m hoping either Tao Johnson or Scooby Davis

I do believe there are some Utah fans that are complete idiots and toxic as hell to the point that they should be disowned, BUT i’ve come to know there are a lot of FAKE Utah social media accounts out there created by a lot of toxic BYU fans who have murder in their hearts for Utah and are posing as Utah fans to really make the fanbase look very bad and IMO they’ve done a very good job! Do not think for a moment this is far from reality because it is not! I know the rivalry is toxic and bad, but c’mon. I’ll say this, and it goes for both sides, but especially our rival, what goes around comes around! You think you’re on top of the world and invincible, and then you’re NOT! We’ve all found out it can all come crashing down fast!

You are right, there are a lot of fake trolls out there but I think a lot of the hate came from Alex Markham. There are rumors that it was such bad reporting by him and that’s why On3 let him go. No idea from me but he is one of those guys that I just shake my head at.

At the end of the day I’m happy for Moa. He is representing our state. Just like in the article, Utah said they will never stop recruiting him. That’s what I like to see. If he ends up wanting to transfer, it would be great to have him. If not, I’m at least happy we have the Pula twins. I’m hoping for big things from them!

K-State looked like a high-ceilinged time that is extremely error prone. Exactly what they were last year.

When they come to Rice-Eccles, let’s make that place LOUD. We can rattle them.

Avery Johnson is super unreliable, every time I’ve watched him I’ve been unimpressed but everyone tells me to believe the hype.

I feel the same way about Sawyer Robertson. Way overhyped.

Kansas also plays today. Gonna be good to get a look at both.

Iowa state and Kansas state was an ugly game.

I agree with your take on Ludwig. For whatever reason, his QB recruiting was very bad. Also, I think that is an accurate assessment of Whitt. I’m not aware of him ever coaching on the offensive side of the ball prior to becoming the HC. Obviously, he’s far from the only HC to have gone that route, but it makes sense that he wouldn’t know how to adjust from an X’s and O’s standpoint to make things work offensively.

Good points. I don’t think Ludwig was fired because of the Rising decision. The OC is key to the QB decision, however, Whitt like most all HCs approve/agree all key decisions. What happened to Lud? I don’t know but because of their relationship, I suspect that it was either Lud’s own decision or there was something specific that Whitt wanted that Lud was not following thru on. I did note that as great as Lud is viewed as a QB coach, he struggled (in the second stint) to recruit a QB that followed thru with success. Rising committed to Utah some 10 days before Lud was hired. He does deserve credit for developing Rising. I think he required a very specific QB for his offense to run. If Whitt has an offense weak point it would be correcting/helping an OC when rough patches are encountered. Not surprising given that his background is defense. His dad was a great defensive mind but impatient with offensive breakdowns.
