Yeah, should have went with Dodge Ball or Pinochle, instead. 😉
I suppose the other networks, not being exclusively sports, can absorb any short-term losses for sports rights in the name of using sports to promote its other shows. -

Probably also the end of escalation in conference/team TV contracts, though that is still something that will grab a live audience.

Good point, it was more a matter that the refs let the game go one play too long, than your standard blown call. That said OSU had so many blown opportunities to stop that last play it was laughable. Having a MAC team that close at the end of the game didn’t reflect well on the Cowboys either.

I work in academia and grew up in an urban/suburban area so maybe I’m not seeing it, but where is it that these rural people don’t have educational opportunity? Its not there or there is a segment of the population that is anti-intellectuals, so they don’t bother to go to college or a trade school, or hardly study in high school, preferring…[Read more]

Lets say your off-season task is to assemble the best the NCAA has to offer in in-bounds plays and back-court press breaking, either in design or execution. Which teams would you review? Due to my day job recently also being an evening job I didn’t see a lot of NCAA tournament games this year, did any stand out in that respect? My WAG would be…[Read more]
