ProudUte started the topic Who will the top 4 in the 60jn60 be in the forum Football 3 years, 11 months ago
I know it doesn’t mean much, but interesting nonetheless to see what our local media think. My prediction is
1. Lloyd
2. Alligier
3. Kuithe
4. Empey
My top 4 would be
1. Lloyd
2. Kuithe
3. Alligier
4. Brewer
if I knew who will be our go-to running back, I would have him in the top four. The Utes produce NFL caliber running backs Other…[Read more] -

When asked by Bill Riley who stood out in camp, he quickly mentioned Bam and Tavion.
A lot of insiders have mentioned these same two players. I’m excited to see them play. -
ProudUte started the topic Good article on Kuithe in the forum Football 3 years, 11 months ago
I didn’t know that he was so frustrated last season. I totally understand why he felt frustrated. The passing game was almost nonexistent. To go from Huntley’s amazing senior season to last years’ debacle had to be hard on him.

ProudUte started the topic So Covey was ranked 9th in 60in60. in the forum Football 3 years, 11 months ago
I know the 60in60 thing means nothing. It’s just fun to poke fun at the media.
I believe this is Covey’s worst ranking since he was a freshman. From what I have heard, Covey is in the best condition he has been in since 2015. He has put on weight and muscle. I hope he has the best year of his career and then takes his well-earned social…[Read more] -
ProudUte started the topic Peyton Powell in the forum Football 3 years, 11 months ago
Will he still be interested in Utah? Would we still be interested in him?
“A Rutgers defensive back said Tuesday he will enter the transfer portal and not return to the football team over the school’s vaccine requirement for students. Peyton Powell, a former four-star recruit from Texas who initially verbally committed to Utah and spent a few…[Read more] -
ProudUte started the topic People are now complaining that the Notre Dame leprechaun is offensive in the forum Misc 3 years, 11 months ago
I don’t much like Notre Dame. But, this one is going too far IMO. Why is a leprechaun offensive?
When people start dreaming up ways that a school mascot is offensive – they have way too much time on their hands.
I had to laugh when Corner Canyon first selected “Cougars” as their mascot, that some in the area found that offensive because they…[Read more] -
ProudUte started the topic I listened to the entire alignment press conference in the forum Pac-12 3 years, 11 months ago
I was a bunch of nothing!
I am not saying that the alignment is bad or that it won’t have positive consequences. But, this press conference told me NOTHING that we did not already know or assume about the three conference alignment.
I hope to hear meaningful decisions in the future. I am glad that these three conferences are trying to save…[Read more] -

That OK State and K State will be joining the PAC12. Other schools will be going to Big 10 and ACC.
Interesting.

ProudUte started the topic Bartle suggests that Pledger will be RB1 in the forum Football 3 years, 11 months ago
He was just on ESPN700. He didn’t say that he knew who the starter would be but said that he expected it to be Pledger. If anyone outside of the locker room knows – it would be Bartle.
I suspect the two-deep may show 4 guys for game 1. As many have mentioned on this board, we may not know the top running back until games 3 or 4. -
ProudUte started the topic Regardless of pay site or not in the forum Football 3 years, 11 months ago
It’s all over the radio. Brewer to start at QB. Not a surprise.
Now who will be the starting RB. -
ProudUte started the topic Saw that Oregon and OSU will require in the forum Football 3 years, 12 months ago
Proof of vaccination or covid free test before entering home games.
How many other PAC12 teams will follow? I suspect the California schools may do the same. Washington schools maybe. Arizona schools and Utah very unliklely. CU – I just don’t know.

ProudUte started the topic Bill Riley's top 4 in the forum Football 3 years, 12 months ago
Bill Riley announced his top four players in the state of Utah in 2020.
1 – Lloyd
2 – Ford
3 – Empey
4 – Kuithe
His number five was some dude from Utah State that I did not know.
Your thoughts?
I definitely agree with Lloyd. He is certainly the top in-state player going into the season. In the end – I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Ute RB…[Read more] -
ProudUte started the topic Honest question on a difficult issue in the forum Football 3 years, 12 months ago
in 2008, we Ute fans were upset because we were not allowed to be national champs. We were frustrated that the MWC was left out in the cold in college football. The power conferences did not want to allow the non-power conference teams a seat a the table.
In 2021, we are at the table because we were invited by the PAC12 to join. This was great…[Read more] -

This is simply some preseason thoughts without seeing our Utes play.
QB – B+ I do not know who the QB will be, but I think both guys have the talent needed to win the PAC12.
WR – B I think we are good but not great
TE – A We are very good and deep
OL – I I just don’t know. If I go by what OnlyU is saying it may be as high as an A-. But, I…[Read more] -

ProudUte started the topic I could see Whitt non naming his starting QB until the last minute in 2020 in the forum Football 4 years ago
Because our first game was a conference opponent and everything was upside down in 2020.
We start with Weber State. We can’t be too worried about Jay Hill knowing who our starting QB will be. I believe it has been a legit battle between two qualified young men. But, IMO we should have a QB announced by Thursday (2 weeks before the game) or at…[Read more] -
ProudUte started the topic Nice article on Tavion Thomas in the forum Football 4 years ago
As the article states, Tavion is the one RB who KW talks most about. I would think that he has taken the lead in the RB competition. I think we will play RB by committee, especially against Weber and probably BYU and SDSU. However, KW seems to like having a go-to back. I think by the time we play Washington State, we will have a lead…[Read more]
