Tyler Henry replied to the topic The area we can make the biggest improvement this season? in the forum Football 10 hours, 38 minutes ago
The run game is paramount for us to succeed, especially in Beck’s offense. All we had last year was a run game, but even then, we struggled at doing that. I pointed out how thin we are at RB, so hopefully Dampier can take some carries off of Parker, to keep him healthy. I think we have the WR’s to play WR by committee, we don’t necessarily need a…[Read more]

Not a bad list, but I am higher on Colorado than I am UCLA. Is UCLA higher on your list because it is a road game?

Tyler Henry started the topic My Greatest Concern I have For This Upcoming Season in the forum Football 2 days, 4 hours ago
We are concerningly thin at the RB position this year. Obviously, I have high hopes for Parker, but he will be given a much more significant workload here in SLC than he had in Pullman. Outside of him, we really do not have a very experienced RB room. NaQuari Rogers is seemingly the next guy up, but I am not that high on him. He only had 352…[Read more]

The Big 12 is a great conference, teams are recruiting great. Why do you and so many other goofs treat it like it’s trash?

A trap game is when teams overlook and opponent, I feel like that will be the case for the KU game.

My unbiased predictions:
UCLA| W
Cal Poly| W

Arizona State| W (if it were away, ASU wins)
BYU| W
CU| W
Cincy| W
Baylor| L (Baylor is lookin’ good)
KSU| W (KSU is fast)
KU| L (trap game, KU has studs)
I expect Utah to finish 9-3, but I would not be surprised if we e…[Read more]

We lost Sammie Hunter to the portal today. He was a former 3⭐️ CB out of the ‘24 class.

Tyler Henry replied to the topic Utah football: Bringing In A Few Visitors From The Transfer Portal in the forum Football 6 months, 3 weeks ago
Faison has not officially signed or “committed” anywhere, although he has been impressed with Alabama’s facility during his visit. Utah has always been an appealing destination for RBs, a 1-2 punch featuring Parker and Faison would be very fun to watch!

At the end of the day, he really was not a game-changing player, let’s be honest. I understand that he may act as a leadership figure for the team, but I never understood why people freaked out when he announced he was leaving. We will fill his spot; I am not worried.

Apparently, there were a couple of WR transfers with him as well. Can anyone identify who else there was?
P.S., Creed is a GAMER.

Tyler Henry replied to the topic Creed Whittemore in the forum Football 7 months, 1 week ago
He clearly likes Utah, we just have to show we like and want him! Utah needs to lock kids like this up as soon as they step on campus. Look at Texas Tech, for instance!
Also, his ranking is not a misleading, he really is that good!

There is chatter about this weekend consisting of several important visits, but no one is naming names. Can someone here name the known visitors this weekend? Thanks!

Tyler Henry replied to the topic New Mexico QB Devon Dampier in the forum Football 7 months, 3 weeks ago
I am curious, why are you happy about the Beck hiring? He does have some impressive stats at the first glance, but when you look at the individual statistics, it is a bit concerning. Having the 78th best passing offense in the country in terms of YPG is concerning, considering we need to modernize our offense. The QB that entered the portal for…[Read more]

Tyler Henry replied to the topic Raycine Guillory is a Ute! in the forum Football 7 months, 3 weeks ago
Raycine was a top-150 player in the ‘26 class before reclassifying. Although he is still a composite four-star, he is much better than that!

Tyler Henry started the topic Closing In On Mack Leftwich in the forum Football 7 months, 3 weeks ago
I think the writing on the wall is that Leftwich is the guy Scalley wants, and I am very happy about that. I know most you wanted the WSU OC because of their QB, but Leftwich’s offenses are much, much better. All three recruits we received today have some sort of connection to Leftwich, whether it be Ficklin who flipped from Texas State to us, or…[Read more]

Only a Whitt-coached team would go from being one inch short of a long-pass TD on 2nd down to a 3rd and ten run up the middle. Our offensive play calling was horrendous.

I am not surprised at where Utah is right now in terms of their record. The mayhem of aa new conference is getting to Utah. Nonetheless, I see us going 4-2 for the remaining six games.
Utah vs TCU|W
Utah at Houston|W (could be a trap game)
Utah vs BYU|W (Utah will not lose to BYU at home, let’s be real.)

ASU has a top five RB in Cam Skattebo, in addition to former five-star Raleek Brown, former four-star Jason Brown, as well as former four-star Alton Mccaskill.
Former four-star QB Sam Leavitt is also a rushing threat for ASU, as his legs have given teams issues all year long. If Utah has any chance of winning tonight’s road game, stopping the run…[Read more]

Tyler Henry replied to the topic Disturbing Trend for The '26 Recruiting Class in the forum Football 9 months, 3 weeks ago
For the states with larger pools of talent, for sure. However, Utah needs to land on a higher percentage of them to stay successful. Does that mean landing a five-star? Of course not but missing out on near or current in-state four-stars cannot happen for our Utes.

Tyler Henry started the topic Disturbing Trend for The '26 Recruiting Class in the forum Football 9 months, 3 weeks ago
Assuming Helaman commits to Texas A&M (essentially a done deal at this point,) Utah would have missed out on four of the ten best players in the state of Utah. Normally Utah missing out on in-state talent would not worry me, but the ’26 in-state class is LOADED! I cannot recall the state of Utah having this much high school talent in one class.
