Bama will probably play in the Sugar Bowl against Big 12 runner-up… depends on where Georgia ends up ranked after this week.

This opens up recruiting a lot for other PAC schools. Peterson has really slayed it with recruits. Hopefully Utah can get some of the UW prospects.

Coach Shah is a fantastic coach. You can see a lot of why he gets excellent recruits and develops players! Great interview.

I agree 100%. I hate all the playoff talk, it’s repetitive and tiring! There’s still so much football to be played nationally. I’m really excited for the CU game, how will the Shenault v Johnson matchup play out? What about the Moss v CU defense that allowed fewer than 40 rush yards last week? Once we finish relishing in back-to-back division…[Read more]
salty-ute replied to the topic Saban hasn't probably thought about Utah since Jan 1 2009 in the forum Football 4 years, 5 months ago
Absolutely. Bama will fall behind in championship week with Utah, and Baylor/Oklahoma winning out. There has only been one time a 1-loss team in a “similar-to-Bama” situation has been left out, and that was when Oklahoma didn’t play in a CCG.

Came here for the bad boy mowers gasparilla, but I was beat to the punch. A couple years ago they had a mower race as part of the pre-bowl activities for the players.

I’m not saying that a G5 team right now would win a national title. But is it fair to put regulatory practice in place against those schools that will only further limit their recruiting, budget, and exposure? Although I’d agree that it’s unlikely the ’08 team would have been undefeated in a P5 league, I think there’s a good chance they could have…[Read more]

This is the correct answer. Committee has no respect for G5 teams, just take a look at current rankings. The only ranked G5 teams on the poll are 1-loss teams.
salty-ute replied to the topic Tim Brando's Rant on CFB Inequality & Conference Perception in the forum Football 4 years, 6 months ago
I don’t like this suggestion because it is so discriminant against G5 schools. It leaves a lot of FBS teams at a huge scheduling disadvantage, and widens the gap between the “G5 and P5” schools. The whole P5 designation is something fabricated by the powerhouses to gain advantage. The NCAA recognizes no division between them. We don’t have to…[Read more]

This is a fantastic article. The author really went above and beyond when researching Huntley and did his homework. He even provided clips where he demonstrates Huntley’s skill he’s highlighting.
salty-ute replied to the topic Uh oh. Jordan Love is still the best QB in the state. in the forum Football 4 years, 6 months ago
If anyone drafts Jordan Love in the first round, they’re out of their mind because of how many good other QB options there are this year that haven’t looked awful against decent competition. He has looked completely clueless out there at times. He has a good arm but he has seriously regressed this season.

Cool. Tyler reminds me a ton of Russel Wilson. Very accurate, very efficient and capable of extending the play with athleticism.
salty-ute replied to the topic Which is better, winning the Rose Bowl or getting blown out in a playoff game? in the forum Football 4 years, 6 months ago
I’d much rather win a bowl game than lose a bowl game. The way I see it, Peach Bowl = Rose Bowl. I’ll take the W, whichever it is.

Love has regressed into hot garbage under Anderson. No way he’s 15. I think every one of BYUs QBs has played better than him this season.
His stat line against FREAKING WYOMING last week:
C / A YDS TD INT QBR
12/28 53 0 1 6.1
