Round 1: Washington, Colorado, USC, Oregon State
Round 2: Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Cal
Round 3: Arizona, Utah
Round 4: ArizonaI hate to pick Arizona, but that is what my gut is telling me.
This would likely mean a 3 seed though and I’m ecstatic about that.

I would be pissed if I were Cal.

Cal was up 8 points with 1:30 left.
Bona went on an 11-0 run to win the game.
Talk about shitting the bed.
But I’m glad because I didn’t want to share 1st place with those asshats from Berkley.
Can’t wait to see Oregon lose to USC.

Wilson's Mustache replied to the topic No thanks to UCLA – Ducks win in the forum Basketball (Men) 9 years, 4 months ago
Tony “dough boy” Parker is pathetic.
Really? Parker was 8-10 from the field, for 18 pts. Unless you’re talking sole Rebs. that isn’t pathetic.
I actually thought he was their only player playing well until Alford started hitting threes late.

Wilson's Mustache replied to the topic No thanks to UCLA – Ducks win in the forum Basketball (Men) 9 years, 4 months ago
Thats actually incorrect.
If we tie with the Ducks we will be Co-Champions.
The tie breaker only affects seeding for the Pac-12 tournament.

UCLA had a 14 pt lead at one point. Complete let down.

Yeah but you’re falling into the mistake of judging a team from 2 months ago. Which was the start of their road trips which was as tough a stretch as anyone has had in the league. If you want to do that then you might as well judge Utah by their 1-3 start to the conference. Cal’s road start you ask?
They lost @ #5 UVA in OT by 1 point.

I really liked the DP show for awhile. However, the Danettes, for most part, are annoying and pretty unknowledgeable. Fritz in particular is tough to listen to.

Does anyone have any favorite podcasts or radio personalities they like to listen?
I like listening to the PacHoops Podcast of Champions
Though I don’t live in Utah I also enjoy listening to ESPN700s interview. Bill Riley in particular does an excellent job.
This time of year I’m always looking for more stuff to burn the time or to have on in…[Read more]

Wilson's Mustache replied to the topic Ranking the Nation's Top Football-Basketball Coaching Duos in the forum Basketball (Men) 9 years, 4 months ago
First thought is that UCLA doesn’t belong anywhere near the top 30 duos in the country. What has either coach really done that is so impressive?
You’re freaking UCLA and you’re sitting in 10th place in the Pac-12 in basketball and really only finished #6 in football. Despite all have the talent UCLA brings it they have been pretty mediocre. Maybe…[Read more]

Football: Kyle WhittinghamBasketball: Larry Krystkowiak
When Utah joined the Pac-12, few expected the Utes to be one of the league’s best football/basketball programs. Instead, Whittingham and Krystkowiak have navigated various challenges to produce top-25 programs in both sports. Krystkowiak took Utah to its first Sweet 16 since 2005 a…

I have a good feeling that Oregon will at least split the LA road trip. UCLA is very respectable at home & so is USC even though they have been on a slide. USC is athletic enough to keep pace with Oregon at home.
I’m actually giving Cal a decent change at beating Arizona on the road, but my gut is telling me that Arizona under Miller will bounce…[Read more]

I’m actually not worried. Utah has gotten stronger the longer they play together. I think a lot of the issues to begin the season was chemistry. I don’t think they had really established how/who was going to replace what Delon Wright did and weren’t quite sure how good Poeltl was going to be or how to run the offense through him. Couple this with…[Read more]

California Golden Bears
No coach is going to be excited to face Cal in March. The Golden Bears have the most talented freshman duo in the country in Jaylen Brown and Ivan Rabb, and despite inconsistent starts, these two have lived up to the hype and then some in the past month. Cuonzo Martin’s squad has reeled off seven Pac-12 wins in a row, b… -

Zero No. 1 seeds in power conferences will win their tournaments
The regular-season champion in a power conference always has a strong chance of winning the league tournament. Last season, for example, five of the six power conference No. 1 seeds won both championships. But this isn’t a usual season. There is a strong chance North Carolina…

2. Utah
They’re winners of six straight by an average margin of 17 points with a lottery pick leading the way and a senior guard closing out his career/season strong. Over those last six games look at Brandon Taylor’s numbers:
If you haven’t, take some time to listen to their podcast when it comes out tomorrow. Pre…[Read more]

Associated Press poll: I wrote 350 words about Utah in last week’s Poll Attacks under a headline that literally read, “Let me explain why you can’t leave Utah off of a Top 25 ballot.”
Like, that was the actual headline.
And the 350 words underneath that headline were me making the case for Utah.
In other words, last Monday, it made no sense…
