Wilson's Mustache replied to the topic Poll: How Deep Will The Utes Go in the NCAA Tournament? in the forum Basketball (Men) 9 years, 5 months ago
With our projected seed (3-5) we should at least make it to the Sweet Sixteen so that is my answer.
With the way the Utes have been playing & a little bit of luck I can realistically see an elite 8, but they don’t call it March Madness for nothing. Looking at some of the 5-6 seeds I could see us getting bounced in the 2nd round too.

55. Because Cal looks dangerous
Cuonzo Martin’s squad failed to match the preseason hype in the first three months of the season. But Cal, which features projected lottery picks Ivan Rabb and Jaylen Brown, enters the week on a seven-game winning streak. Who wants to play the Bears in the tournament?48. Because Jakob Poeltl is a monster you…

Utah’s momentum can’t be understated
The Utes may only now be getting the national attention they deserve because they beat Arizona for the first time under Larry Krystkowiak on Saturday, but this team has been playing consistent basketball for quite some time.
Utah has quietly won 11 of its last 13 games after losing at home against Oregon on…

Dave writes: When Coach Larry Krystkowiak cancelled the basketball series with BYU he had no idea the hornets nest that would follow. Since that day, BYU fans have been extremely bitter. So bitter, they called on their fellow BYU fans and cougar club brethren who serve in the Utah State Legislature. These BYU loyalists masquerading as Elected…

GREAT SHAPE
Utah: Worry about replacing the trio of linebackers, sure. But don’t worry about the boys up front. An off-and-on, injury-plagued season hampered defensive end Hunter Dimick in 2015, but he should be back healthy. His absence opened the door for UCLA transfer Kylie Fitts to have an outstanding season. Expect both to be starters a…

In addition to a hefty raise, Utah football coach Kyle Whittingham got some extra security when he signed his latest contract.
According to a report by KSL.com, the adjustments to Whittingham’s extension announced last month just prior to Utah football’s Signing Day includes a buyout of $3 million per year left on the contract. That amount is a…

2 1/2 games is not much…
If it were then Travis would have been benched his sophomore year and never seen again.

I actually agree a lot with what he said.
With that said I think storming the court in certain situations is okay. Its part of the sport.

Jakob Poeltl, Utah Utes
According to the official Wooden Watch thought-meme weathervane, recent weeks have seen a massive spike in statements like the following: “[Player X Who Isn’t Buddy Hield] deserves to be in the national player of the year conversation. He may not win. But he deserves to be in the conversation.” Usually — heck, almost…

Personally I don’t think we saw enough from him to say one way or another. It took Travis 3 years before he was able to get his TDS/INTS ratio positive.
I guess we’ll never know.
I’m excited for Troy Williams and the kid from Florida.

I wish I could spend summers in Utah. I live in the midwest and the humidity is god awful. I’d trade it for 110 degree days in Arizona in a heartbeat.
Heat you can get in the pool, shade, or just back in the house. You can’t escape the humidity.
