The Miami Ute

Yeah, I mentioned that in another posting. I’m pretty certain their depth isn’t up to speed. They might have some problems if some of their frontline players start missing time.

Yeah, I’d take Cam and Kuithe as well if they were injury-free and 100 percent healthy. Unfortunately, that’s probably not going to be the case this season. Best case is both guys at anywhere from 80 to 90 percent of their previous capability given the severity of their injuries.

Are you watching the game? Texas State just scored again…now 21-6…the Bobcats are doing whatever they want to Baylor. Only problem is that if Baylor gets embarrassed by Texas State, they’ll come out uber motivated against Utah.

The one thing I question is Colorado’s depth…I’m not certain that once you get their frontline players they’re as talented or dynamic.

Texas State leading 14-6 now.

You might be right but, as far as skill players are concerned, in my assessment Colorado is already heads and shoulders above Utah in the first Prime season. I took this video during the game at the Swamp last year. As you can probably deduce, my buddy and I were completely surrounded by the enemy. There wasn’t a single red shirt in sight in our area.

Some teams have another team’s number. I think the Utes are still suffering PTSD symptoms from their last two trips to Fort Worth. Those were ugly games if you’re a Utah fan.

LOL…even worse…they used to whip our ass every time we played them…that 36-3 beating they gave us in 2006 was reminiscent of a bully bouncing a nerd off lockers in a school…I’ve never seen a team dominate Utah at Rice-Eccles as the Broncos did that day.

LOL…Miami won a Natty in 2001 and was robbed of another one by a phantom PI call in 2002.

I was at Miami as a student when the Hurricanes won NCs in 89 and 91 (they also finished #2 in 1988). I totally agree…I would hate to have to choose between Miami and Utah every year…plus the travel…it would make what USC, et. al. is going to do look like chump change.

Well, everybody thought that TCU was going to blow out Colorado…I’m guessing a lot of people lost money today…that being said, Colorado has my undivided attention now…it will really be interesting how they fare once the PAC schedule starts and there’s plenty of film on them.

Might be easier said than done.
