Is there anything less interesting than two fanbases arguing over which has the bigger inferior complex?

It appears you are including 2020 in your analysis. Since that year was so uneven, what would it look like if you replaced 2020 with 2019? Granted, that would help Utah due to the stellar 2019 but it would also be a more accurate comparison, if just for normalizing number of games played.

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Hypothetical question about Rising and Kuithe in the forum Football 2 days, 18 hours ago
The @ Baylor game was 2023 with Barnes/Johnson as QB’s. 2024 was in Salt Lake and that is the game Rising was injured.

You mean Southern Utah wasn’t the most opportune time to take advantage of the Dijon Stanley wheel route?

Health hasn’t been on Utah’s side for a while to sacrifice players on Special teams.

Good for him.
But KSL ranked Snowden as the 43rd best player in their “60 of I don’t know nothing about anything ranking”?
Media is such a joke all over the world.

2008 National Champ replied to the topic RES Experience in the forum Football 4 days, 17 hours ago
The Pac-12 implosion was entirely self-inflicted, with a lot of help from the Big 10. All Yormark did was keep his schools together after OU/Texas announced they were leaving.
Giving Yormark credit for the demise of the Pac-12 is a fantasy created by his own publicist.

follow up: imagine you are a transfer QB in Jan/Feb of 2022 and looking at Utah as a possible destination.
That returning offensive roster may have been as loaded as any in Utah history. QB1 spot open for the taking on an offense that just put up 36.1 per (#14) the previous season? I think you’d be able to get all the top transfers in the…[Read more]

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Hypothetical question about Rising and Kuithe in the forum Football 6 days, 12 hours ago
It’s true that you would expect about a 7-5 2022 if Rising had moved on and Utah had stuck with their existing QB room instead of bringing in a starter – for a really attractive spot considering most of the team was coming back from a Rose Bowl squad. The difference is that you would also expect the 2023 & 2024 iterations to have an experienced,…[Read more]

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Hypothetical question about Rising and Kuithe in the forum Football 6 days, 12 hours ago
The issue has always been the lack of competent backups behind Rising which is why his injuries have been so devastating to the program.
Rose & Johnson, as true freshmen in the 2022 class, would not have been the top candidates to replace Rising that year. It would have been between Jackson, a guy who was never allowed to throw a pass at any of…[Read more]

2008 National Champ replied to the topic 7-5 is what I have the Utes at this season in the forum Football 1 week, 3 days ago
completely on the offense?
The first drive after Utah scored to make it 10-16 in the 4th quarter, the defense twice had Arizona in 3rd and 11 situations. The first ended up with a 41 yard completion. The 2nd ended up with a 35 yard TD catch.
No one is claiming that the 2024 offense was anything but putrid after the 1st quarter of the Baylor…[Read more]

2008 National Champ replied to the topic How to recruit players to transfer in the forum Football 1 week, 3 days ago
It isn’t tampering. NIL deals, be definition, are not based on a kid attending a specific school. That would be pay-to-play which is illegal under the NCAA bylaws. NIL deals can follow a kid to whatever school he chooses. So potential interest can be couched as “boy, if you were in this market we think you could maximize your NIL much more so…[Read more]

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Did we offer Ojo cash? in the forum Football 2 weeks, 3 days ago
They are not the same. The 20.5MM comes directly from the school. NIL is from outside vendors and is not influenced by the school *wink wink*
Think of Patrick Mahomes. He gets his salary from the Chiefs and then gets NIL from companies like State Farm. The difference at the college level is that Bob’s Used Car Emporium is making deals with…[Read more]

A QB commit to BYU that (mark my words) will down in history just like Ben Olson, Jake Heaps, Tanner Mangum. As far as us, Utah just needs a very successfulseason. I believe that we will. And recruiting will 📈 again.
