ParticipantConcerns about his attitude? Possibly.
Worth the risk? Definitely.
I’ll trust AJ and the staff to mold him into a team player better than Pearl & Co. did.

ParticipantTotal surprise. I didn’t even know Utah was targeting Howard. Great pick up!
Yes I’d agree that AJ and Co. are doing well so far.
I want Odih next.

ParticipantI’m happy for him. He was one of the few players last season who made it evident that he worked hard to improve his FT shooting.
He wasn’t gonna come back after Dawes, Okonkwo and Traore committed. Hope to see him kill it at USC.
I’m not upset at Ezra. He worked hard for Utah and seemed to be open to returning before the staff made Dawes the top priority, which they were absolutely right to do.

ParticipantI’m definitely on the excited side of the fence because we have picked up some good talent with our first few targets.
More good will come, and I trust Jensen to put together the team with the players he thinks will be successful.

ParticipantGreat pickup!
I was hoping we’d get Moore. Now I want Odih!
I really like the fact that so far, all seven players on the roster are… Not White.
I know that sounds odd but black athletes just have athleticism and explosiveness that many Caucasian players do not. Our team in recent years has been mostly white and it often showed when we played top competition.
Still would love Odih, Betsey and Cunningham, if possible. And possibly Will McClendon.

ParticipantTotally agree.
I don’t want Utah playing this “spend obscene amounts of money to bag a blue chipper” game that BYU is suddenly embracing in basketball.
It’s a bad look, it promotes bad messages, and it’s a shady world to live in. No way I want Utah to become that kind of a place.
BYU is gonna do it and watch and see it won’t get them much farther than they already are in the college basketball hierarchy.

ParticipantBig upgrade in basketball.
The Pac was dogs**t in hoops most years.

ParticipantYes. Over the past decade, it’s just seemed like men’s BB was a total afterthought and not a priority anymore because the school was so caught up with football.
I’ve been waiting for them to get serious again and I’m happy that time has returned.

ParticipantI definitely think it’s more than possible to make the tourney in year one. Now more than ever.
Terrence Brown is going to be a star for us. That dude has explosive athleticism and can score in buckets. We have needed a PG like him for a long time and now we have one! I’m excited about him. He was one of the top scorers in the portal.
Okonkwo is also a good addition because he is a rebounding monster. He had several big rebound games last year at Akron, like 13-16 in one game. Think of how great it would be to have a player who cleans up the glass like him and Dawes.
I really am hoping Odih commits to Utah, and with Chillious being his former coach I think we have a good shot at landing him. And he would only be a FRESHMAN. Would love to get such a young talent!
Now is an exciting time to be a Utah basketball fan!
