What a freak. Now, I hope we have better LT’s who play at Utah (Bolles was terrible at pass blocking) but I don’t know if we will ever have more physically gifted LT’s to ever play at Utah. Bolles is a freak of nature. It will be fun to see him say Utah pregame for the next 15 years.

Also, the 2018 schedule is a lot more forgiving at home. USC, Washington and Oregon at home. USC and Washington breaking in new QB’s that won’t be as good as Browning and Darnold. This is true. Sometimes you just want something different. I grew up outside of Utah, moved here for school and I really like it here (I used to think I loved it here, but after leaving than coming back, I don’t like it as much as I used to).

We let a couple people know that we were considering moving from Utah. After that, the job offers started coming hot and heavy. I’d trade Favors, Exum, Hood for Lillard. Then some seconds for Deron Williams.
Lillard, Hill, DWill, Hayward, Gobert, Joe Johnson, Burks, Lyles.
That is easily the #3 team in the NBA and with Lillard, you can beat anyone on any day.
Lillard, Gobert and Hayward is as good a top 3 as Utah will ever get. -

Here would be my retort: This fall, we should have two four star LB’er starting. Luafatasaga and Ballard.
We definitely don’t have the depth of USC, but our starters are on par. Also, we struggle to recruit LB’er for whatever reason and this defense allows us not need as many LB’ers.

We will see a LOT more 5 down linemen. It’s not really a 5 down linemen defense. It is similar to what USC and TCU run, which is a 5 down lineman, 3/4 defense hybrid. What it does is it allows you to use an extra DE as a LB/hybrid. With the glut of DL and the lack of LB’ers, this isn’t a bad idea.

For the record, I don’t think we end up ranked either. I have us at 7-8 wins this year. BUT, we deserve to be ranked preseason. What, we are the 8th most successful team the last three years? We have the second most wins in the PAC-12 the last three years.
