ParticipantI thought Barnes looked better. Guess I have no idea what their stats look like though.

ParticipantI thought Barnes separated himself as QB2 today.
Both had good runs. But Barnes dropped a dime for a TD. JJ had a TD, but the receiver was noticeably open. JJ also had an INT. Just some armchair thoughts from what I could see live at the game. That Barnes throw was right in front of us so I may be biased and could more clearly see the difficulty of it.

ParticipantJJ had 2 great TD throws. Both are good. Barnes is more polished, but Jackson has better tools to work with IMO.

ParticipantNo clear stand out QB2 from what I could see from my couch. Where was Brandon Rose? I checked out when Bottari went in for Jackson. Hopefully Nate Johnson gets some reps in the Fall.

ParticipantJUCO transfer from College of San Mateo. I think he’s a walk-on, but was presumably a JUCO all-star guy, so he has SOME talent.

ParticipantI was at the game. My thoughts are that Barnes is slightly ahead as QB2. It seems that Barnes was more willing to take what the defense was giving. Whereas JJ made a few dangerous throws, one of which was an INT. Given that Whitt hates TOs with a passion, if I had to guess Barnes would be the QB2 as of now.
However, I predict JJ will eventually get the win as QB2 either when the season starts, or sometime during the season. Simply because he’ll continue to polish his passing game and get better and his much higher ceiling will win it for him.

ParticipantBy the way, I thought JJ played well and I’m excited about his future. If it wasn’t for that INT, I’d give him the slight lead. Can’t wait for it all to come together for him.
