ParticipantThe offense is way too limited and the defense isnt good enough to make up for it. I dont understand why we wouldnt play Kieta and Carlson together as much as possible. we need to squeeze as much as possible out of our defense. That is how we will win games this year.
Thats a pretty mediocre offense that just got whatever look they wanted. They spammed the same play and we had no answer
Beyond that, we have to generate more 3s.

ParticipantI was asking because the offense Utah attempted to run vs BYU-Provo Campus was very different from what they’ve run the rest of the year. I’m not sure if this is a road thing or a coaching thing, but it was very different.
So for those who have only seen Utah play this once, this was not how they normally execute.

ParticipantAnyone who thought the team was suddenly tournament ready after sucking ballsack for years doesn’t understand basketball. This team is trending VERY WELL, but still is not a good team.
The MC is not an easy place to play. Unfortunately losing to TSPP probably means fans don’t start coming back any time soon, but we are getting there.

ParticipantAgree with Chinng.
BYU played very well on D. They never allowed us to get into any offensive rhythm.

ParticipantThis game was an important part of this team’s learning experience. It was their first away game in a hostile environment. They’ll learn from this game, and should do better under similar situations. For example, look what they did to Arizona after losing to Sam Houston State at home, in a game played similar to the one they just played at BYU. We have a good men’s basketball team and coach. I know that this rivalry game stirs up emotions, but just be patient and keep up the support. The near empty Huntsman Center at home games is an undeserved distraction for this team.

ParticipantIf you only saw this one game, yes. If you’ve seen them the rest of the year, it’s not that hard to care.

Participant263, play Carlson and Kieta at the same time? Ok, who’s going to sub for the, or do you play them for the whole game and hope they don’t foul out or run out of gas?
