This is actually not the case. At the coaches clinic Scalley was pretty up front that the portal and schollie limit make it so Utah is really only recruiting kids they know can contribute year one. There may be some diamond in the rough types that fit that mold, but the coaches have to be confident the kid can contribute year one.

Is it too early to start talking about Utah football? Utah has not had much love for the past 2-years, and as a result have not been included in the “way too early” rankings post spring ball. I saw the video of LaGary Mitchell in practice do a one handed interception. Getting this guy is a big win.

Really excited to see how this awesome O-line can open up the run game. Saw some decent runs during the Spring game by our new RB room, but can’t wait to see what Wayshawn Parker brings.

Ok. What was the injury? The season is over. Why was it so hush hush?

How does the voting work? Can fans vote?

But why did Mokofisi suck so bad last year? Why has there been no discussion on this at all?

Utah is being forced to go back to the recruiting strategy that made us successful in the first place, going after potential diamonds in the rough. Hopefully it works out as well as it used to. This may be a better strategy in the new NIL world, but it could also backfire horribly. We’ll see how it works out.

If you can afford it, Paradise Valley and Scottsdale are amazing areas. If you are on more of a budget, Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert and parts of Tempe are nice too. I would stay on the east side as much as possible.

UCLA defensive line seems like it’ll be mostly new faces, but talented new faces. Couple that with the Nico acquisition and all of a sudden the first game of the year might tell us a lot about where positions really stand.
