I can’t think of another conference in my lifetime where EVERY prediction was wrong. Maybe one or two teams is a surprise, but a whole conference?

I won’t believe anyone’s prediction for 2025, even my own, until I see it play out of the field.

Would you have Penn State as anything worse than a 3 point dog at home against any of the other teams expected to be in the playoff? All those good weather teams from the SEC/ACC? Heck, if Penn State wins today Oregon would be #5 and ASU shouldn’t be scared of playing in Eugene.

Update…Gundy agreed to restructure his contract. From what I read, the Cowboys are going to use the funds they recouped from the contract towards revenue sharing with the players. It will be interesting to see if the salaries of most head coach and, coaches in general, go down once revenue sharing is fully implemented.

Just me, but I doubt a two loss ASU jumps over Boise. I predict that they’ll be the #11 or #12 team and have to go on the road in the CFP. My brother tells me that State College is lovely in mid December. Gonna love seeing how Sparky does if they draw a cold weather team.

Dillingham has something good going in Tempe. Any team playing with nothing to lose can do well in the playoff and he’s playing with house money at this point. It’ll be interesting to see if that win was big enough to get them a bye because then all bets are off.

Reading the tea leaves of who has announced they are staying and who has entered the portal, my guess is that Utah has committed to spend NIL $$ on guys who have proven themselves as front-line players and to not spend on potential. No, Isaac is not a major run game threat like his brother Zach was. Also shorter. I honestly think he will end up in the MW or big sky.

The funny thing is that with any QB not named Rising, Utah probably beats ASU in Tempe.

Is IW athletic and durable enough to run Beck’s true RPO scheme where the QB actually is a threat to run not the phony BS Ludwig tried to run sometimes where everyone knew the QB is a zero run threat. Dampier was the leading rusher in 5 of 12 of UNM games. Hard to visualize IW running for 800-1000 yards in a season.

ASU is clearly the best team in the conference. Amazing when yiu think about it. Picked #16 in preseason polls. Scatteboo is a work horse.
