Statistically the offense was an outlier. It will go back up. I don’t think the coaching improved at all in the BIG12. The defenses top to bottom were pretty unimpressive.

Arnold is surrounded by loads of talent and still wasn’t enough. Dampier is at New Mexico. Dampier himself carried that team. Oklahoma carried Arnold.

Source of rumor???
Quick internet search gives me this tidbit – sounds like the SEC is his first school is his first choice.
“According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Arnold is looking to make a splash to advance his college football career. His list is relatively small. All three teams reside in the SEC, but the most eye-popping would be playing for…[Read more]

What talent advantage did Arnold and Oklahoma have against SEC teams?

We’ll have a different QB and different offense

Pass. I’m going to catch heat for saying this but I’d rather have Dampier. Arnold couldn’t elevate his team despite having the talent advantage. His QBR is poor. Yah his TD to INT ratio is better than Dampiers but 6 of his TDs came vs Maine and Temple. He’s not as explosive as Dampier, especially on the ground. I’ll pass on Arnold.

2023: 45.5 yards per punt (tied #21)
2024: 44.7 (tied #35)of all the dark spots for the last 2 seasons, Bouwmeester wasn’t one of them. If the only acceptable punters are Ray Guy winners, be prepared for a lot of disappointment.

Poocho replied to the topic What version of Beck will Whitt allow? in the forum Football 8 months, 1 week ago
From what I heard, Beck put his foot down and told Whittingham that it’s his offense and his say and that he would take recommendations from him, but that it was his call. We’ll see if that actually holds up.

Poocho replied to the topic Damuni? in the forum Football 8 months, 1 week ago
Damuni is coming back. He would have been good to play the last third of the games, but he decided against it and redshirted because of the way the season was trending.
After he tore his Achilles, he ended up doing stem cell treatment and he healed crazy fast.

There’s plenty of room for optimism and the farther we get from game 12 of the 2024 season, the more optimistic this place will get. By next August you’ll be begging for little ole Eeyore to get the red kool-aid out of your sippy cup 🙂 I kid
Right now, the rhetoric is worse than normal for this time of year. It’s only been a week since the…[Read more]
