I was amused.

1. Utah will play football next fall.

2. I’ll be on my couch cheering with every success and dying with every sucky thing.

Beyond that, it’s out of my control and I’m going to try to just enjoy being a Ute fan and not get too wrapped up in all this (I’ve already been too wrapped up and am trying to let that all go).

Just behind Miami. Named to the Frank Broyles Award, which honors college football’s top assistant coach.

In my opinion scheme is important to attracting QB and Receiver talent. What QB wants to hand it off 35 times a game and what receiver wants to spend most of their time blocking? I’ve been saying it for a while; it is not an attractive environment for offensive talent.

I’m not a bigger fan of 45-42 than I am of 13-10. I do want a team that is capable of putting up 45 every week and don’t think that should be sacrificed so that the team will only give up 10. Great teams are capable of both. Good teams do one or the other and bad teams can do neither.

Totally agree and on-board with Utah getting Beck, the issue I have specifically with Whittingham is he’s a narccistic control freak and hires people in his circle or close to his inner circle by association or affiliation (Utah/TDS ties) that he can control and when he says jump, they say how hi.

I feel prep for next year starts with the OC. I would prefer we start high on the list of possibilities and work down rather than start in the middle which leads to coming up second a few times. I expect that so many of the great coaches have awesome offense numbers but have defensive numbers like Whitt’s offense numbers. I expect that very few have great numbers on both sides over a range of years like this.
