I’m missing why a new OC working under Whitt would run an offense Scalley wants. More likely he will run the offense in the manner that the Head Coach wants.

He has the opportunity to reset the program. But if he’s just going to make cosmetic changes, I’d rather someone else took over. Because I don’t think any of us found 2024 to be up to his standard and I’m confident no one wants a repeat to happen in 2025.

Exactly. No one cares at all about bowl game performances anymore. If you are not in the playoffs, no one cares nor most will not even watch. With the players opting out for the NFL, entering the portal before the bowl game, etc. non-playoff bowl games are a complete joke and lend zero credence to recruiting.

I’m with Aloha Ute on this. Coach has earned his bonafides. Yes there is a lot of frustration but you don’t put someone out to pasture until all doubt has been removed. Would be unfortunate for Kyle to go out in such a down year which includes a heart breaking loss to BYU.

Lavell Edwards and Ron McBride has losing seasons to end their careers (Ron did coach at Weber a few years) but at least both enjoyed rivalry wins among all the losses.
