The Miami Ute replied to the topic They’ve quit. in the forum Football 9 months, 1 week ago
Well, credit to Whitt and Lud for seeing something in those QBs that other programs didn’t and developing them into something. None of those players came to Utah as the finished article so Whitt and Lud have to get some credit for getting them to the top. That being said, the way the QB room has been mismanaged during the last two seasons is…[Read more]

the exodus of offensive players, whether it’s current, signed recruits or future recruits will be massive. Even defensive guys. They sounded so down last night talking about they know they must keep the score down because of how little our O produces. Anyway I know he’s tied to Whitt. And why would I expect proactive changes. But here’s hoping.

My future employment doesn’t rely on the relative performance of 18-22 year old kids so take this with a grain of salt. How many times has the Utah defense knocked a QB out of the game only to watch an untested, untried backup come in and look like Peyton Manning reincarnated?
Coaches aren’t always right on who should be playing. But the bigger…[Read more]

This is a bad take. Even if it were true, let’s back the players to the end.
Defense holds a good offense to 13 points. Clearly they haven’t quit.
MB rips off a me against the world run where seemingly the only block he gets negated the run. MB hasn’t quit.
Even on offense guys are clearly trying.
We’re a bad offensive team. Whitt and Lud are…[Read more]

I’m convinced Wilson is only starting because coaches don’t want him to transfer.

This is an old issue. Moss was good enough to make it happen anyway but it was the same story then. Well you don’t get a Moss every year.

Yeah it’s so glaring to everyone (listen to Kuithe post game comments) this is a coaching issue. Blaming it on NIL is incorrect. This is a very talented group of pass catchers. But it doesn’t matter.

Virginia bball coach just retired (younger than Whitt) and said he’s not the right guy to lead a team in this new structure. There’s more parity right now in college football than ever. So we need someone who can navigate and take advantage of what is there. Whether we like this new CFB or not. It’s not going back.

I would agree with you if Utah wasn’t losing to AZ, ASU, and TCU. Those teams aren’t stacked and full of NIL players. This Utah team has a ton of talent that is being wasted on one of the worst offensive schemes in college football.

It would be interesting to see some school try this experiment: Give 100% of the NIL money to the linemen (offensive and defensive). Build two lines of 5-star hogs. Dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
Obviously, that means your “skill” positions would be nothing but 3-stars and 2-stars. But even the most pedestrian QB looks…[Read more]

12 points a game, 3 game losing streak where anemic wouldn’t describe the offense, zero adjustments even after a bye and defensive players now openly saying the know they must contain the other offense because they know the offense won’t score enough? Oh wait. That’s now.

It’s not a coaching issue. It’s a talent issue. Utes have been out played. Both rose bowls. Outplayed. Both teams had better talent. Fact. No sugar coating it. They had more talent.
Today, Utah doesn’t have the talent other teams have. Be honest, step outside your Ute bubble. Utah lacks talent. The current roster has some great kids…[Read more] -

This time last year I was farming downvotes for thinking these issues affect the players. Realistically, how couldn’t it?

Your post is 100% true. The program was built on players development, loyalty, family, And do more with less. Gone. Irrelevant now. Have to reinvent now.
