Go watch the first quarter and a half of the USU game and tell me that that offense is worse than last years.
USU is not dog meat, they have 2 legit NFL players on their defense and a quality defensive coordinator. You can even add in the factor that it was a rivalry game and they were hyped to play and beat Utah. WE RAN ALL OVER THEM AND THEY COULDN’T STOP US. The only thing that gave them a breath of fresh air was our starting QB dinged his shoulder on a 40 yd run.
If Travis is back, our offense is leaps and bounds better than last year. If its Kendall, then its comparable to last years.
Most expect it to be a close game. Only two are picking Oregon to cover the spread. Hopefully the Utes will take advantage of the perceived lack of respect.
there’s only one dude i would want over kyle. that would be the urb monster
He was running with an obvious limp against Utah State…couldn’t push off the leg that he hurt last year. It was a terrible injury that will take some more time I guess. Didn’t dress last week in hopes of coming back but I’m afraid he has a ways to go yet to be back to full speed. Our wideouts will determine our success this year. Covey has been a pleasant surprise, Scott competes and is a physical player but does not gain separation often, hopefully Butler-Byrd is able to stretch the D some which will allow for a little more room for Booker. Only problem there is that he practiced in the slot during camp…not sure if he lacks something outside or it’s just where he ended up. One way or another we need to find a threat out there or it will be another grind this year. Kind of how Whit likes it I guess!
The only decent series we have scheduled is Baylor, which I give an A+ since it’s winnable, P5, and a recruiting hotspot. By the same token, I’d love Miami (battle for the U).
Adams was injured during the EWU game, and played with the broken finger against Michigan State. His finger should be the same or slightly better than the MSU game, where he threw for 309 yards, 1 TD, 2INTs. He made some impressive plays in that game, but a few bad ones also. If he hadn’t overthrown a wide open Marshall in the end zone in the final minute, Ducks likely win that game.
The speculation is that it’s a small fracture that causes him pain, but which doesn’t prevent him from slinging the ball if the pain is in check. He’ll get a cortisone shot and be ready to go against the Utes.
I think Utah’s bigger advantage is that Adams has only been at Oregon for a month or so. Against MSU, Oregon played at a noticeably slower pace than in recent years, presumably due to his inexperience in the system.
Couldn’t agree with you more. Who cares who doesn’t want to be Utes. I’m only interested in those that sign from now it. It’s too much of a roller coaster.

Lotulelei is only a Sophomore….so crazy.
I don’t think ND ever gets one of the final four. They just don’t have a strong enough SOS. (same with TDS) That being said, the first time any two of either B1G, SEC, or PAC get left out will be the last time and change everything. The first time the SEC gets two in also will be the last. Everyone will want a play in game for anyone left out of the final four. Quick and easy answer play in game between #4 and #5 with all five P5 champs. This way it is only one more game for two P5 teams. Screw the G5 and Indy’s.
Someone changed my avatar to a Yankees logo. The only thing worse than that would be if they changed it to a Cowboys or TDS logo. Wha h0ppen?
