TSPP lost 37-7, and the game wasn’t as close as the score suggests. Obviously their O sucks balls, but their D also looked on par with the USC D. What was Jay Hill thinking taking that job??!!

Do they give the job to Arod or Hill? Sitake seems to not have much longer.

It is BYU’s first season playing in a P5 conference. They don’t have the depth yet. Sitake will be given a chance to recruit and develop the team. He won’t be dismissed for a few years. As bad as they looked (and they looked very bad) they are still 5-4 and could become bowl-eligible against Iowa State.

Sitake has some business dealings on the side that are doing fairly well. He may choose on his own to hang it up because the stress just isn’t worth it. However, he may thrive on the stress.

BYU-Provo Campus will never have the horses to compete in the Truck Stop Conference. Their recruiting class rankings remain low. They haven’t seen the “Big 12 bump” they predicted, likely because it’s a weird school and top players have other options in good conferences.

They were successful as a G5 because they recruited like a G5. Now they’re in a P5 while still recruiting like a G5. That’s not a recipe for sustained success.

Wait wAit wait. Are TSPP fans admitting they were at G5 depth then prior to this season? Or are they just continuing the logical fallacies?

I think Hill’s motivation in taking that job was to help him get a P5 head coaching job; probably hoping to put himself in a position to replace Whit in a few years.
