“Transcendent talent”…”Significant loss for Texas”
Not your average transfer. Top programs bring in a bunch of talent and let it work itself out on the field. Texas fans knew they wouldn’t be able to keep both Card and Jackson but that’s what is expected in competitive programs. You now have 3 highly rated young guys fighting for playing time. The winner is gonna be damn good. Add a high quality vet via the portal and you have every angle covered.
Do we have any running backs or receivers we are looking at?
Yes…we are involved with some high level guys.
Bentley is leaving then? Hopefully he takes on a coaching roll. Seems like a good kid.
Now the question will be, what will JQJ do if he doesn’t beat out Rising or Costelli? Hopefully he buys in and finds some other way to get on the field and doesn’t just hop around.
Utah needs to get a good quality QB drafted in the 1st or 2nd round for this new generation of recruits. When that happens we’ll get these higher quality QBs from high school and all the other offensive key positions of OL & WR will come. The new QB, Jordan’s friend is a godsend and an early gift to Ute fans. Whoever rises to the top next year will be good. Merry Christmas everyone.
2020/CoVid has allowed a one time free transfer but in every other year you don’t see a transfer who is going to his 3rd school stay at the top level. Either there is a problem with the kid or a problem with what he thinks he is. It would be very surprising to see him not accept a different role if, in fact, he didn’t win the QB job at some point in his career.
Rising has transferred once so I don’t think is going anywhere and now Jackson has too. Not a good look if they chose to do it a 3rd time. Costelli would still have that option I suppose but all 3 believe they can and will win the job so they’re not coming into this thinking about leaving.
