Today has been an amazing day in ski racing! For ski racing fans like me, there will never be another day like it.
Utah with the five-peat (yes, I know it’s actually only four, but we were so far ahead in 2020 that all we had to do was take a victory lap before COVID cancelled the championships, so I’m counting it as five). And Mikaela Shiffrin breaking Stenmark’s record for World Cup wins – the one every expert said would never be broken – and doing it in only 10 years. She could easily race at a high level for another 10 years!
It’s been too much today…just too much greatness.
