My daughter has narrowed her college choices to Utah and UCLA, so in our house UCLA is okay to root for. At least until she goes to Utah, then we’ll dump them.
University of Washington since I lived in the Seattle area for 4-5 years. Stanford because I like David Shaw and I respect the style of football they play.
Awhile back I needed some specialized orthopedic surgery, I found a specialist who was an adjunct at UCLA who got me 100% fixed-up and it has continued to do well to date, so I am partial to the Bruins. Respect for the Wooden era as well.
I may be in the minority, but I want the whole pac12 to suck, so Utah has a better chance to win conference titles, go to the rose bowl, and can pick up better recruits. I rarely find myself #backingthepac. I kind of like wazzu, my brother was a coach there (not football) and so I’ve been to there campus and to some games a few times and I thought it was a cool college town. Otherwise I don’t have an affinity for any other program.
Guess I have to go in reverse order to determine who I hate the least:
USC Most hated due to the arrogance and everything about them, Arizona St., Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, UCLA, Washington ST., Oregon St., CAL
and Stanford least hated. I respect that level of academic excellence and consistent no-nonsense football program.
UCLA – my brother graduated from there. Since I attended his graduation on that beautiful campus, I’ve been partial to them ever since. Unless they’re playing the Utes obviously……
