What’s up with Tupai?

I didn’t see him play much against BYU and didn’t see him at all against NIU.  Anyone have inside or second hand information regarding his status?

He played quite a bit against the TDS. He spied Wilson most of the game. From what the coaches have been saying is that Mika Tufua really stepped up this off season, so maybe Tufua beat him out of some reps.

Jaylon Johnson told me at fan Fest that Max Tupai is the hardest hitter on the defense and crazy. I don’t think it’s an issue with mental toughness. I think the two guys ahead of him are really good

I think his playing time depends on the speed of the opponent.  When we start playing teams with speed he will see the field more because he is a lot faster than the other DEs except for Anea. His motor sometimes gets him into touble againsth slower teams.
