The pessimists were speculating about it all over Twitter. He probably just felt compelled to dispel those rumors.

He’s signed, but when a coach leaves it potentially opens a door to try and be let out of your signed commitment. Clark Philipps, although verbal only, backed out of his commitment when the Ohio State coach recruiting him took another job. So yes, doomsdayers were all getting their undies tied up about what this would mean since McDonald was the main recruiter for both Glover and Johnson, two of the best offensive recruits this go around.

b/c he recieved an offer from Florida last week.  Many were thinking he’d stay home.  He’s like it here, so why stay there?
