This is no creampuff opponent. Sutton isn’t there but this will be closer than most of you think. Especially with the starting center and guard out.

The Hills? Bachelorette? Aren’t those shows from 20 years ago?
Holy crap that is bad. I understand that it is hard to fill a 3 hour show. But at this point is he just talking to hear himself talk?
Pretty lame. -

“It’s actually more vital the Church funds football than other humanitarian help. We will always be very generous there and should continue to be.
By the way, once the older generation passes away I don’t think the Motab is going to be #1 in 10-15 years. So then football ends up being the #1 PR image of the Chu…[Read more]

Hi Proud, I’m assuming you might be responding to my post in the thread below, among other things. Fwiw, I opposed the tithing tshirt idea, and explained why. It’s unconstructive. Personally I agree with sticking to sports and happy to support that. Go Utes.

As I pointed out, I am actually opposing the tithing tshirt because I think it is trivial and an unnecessary putdown that is unconstructive and unhelpful. Most of my family is LDS and I support that. We should all be better neighbors to each other. I respect your right to disagree. I also think you ought to be able to know how much of…[Read more]

BYU just doesn’t generate enough revenue to be self sustaining. If it was, don’t you think they’d privatize it? Notre Dame for Catholics at 49,685 USD, Brandeis at 51,245 USD (“Jewish BYU” according to one Jewish friend who went there to meet a boychik) are private and are priced like private…[Read more]

Too many people still complain about the pics of jello shots served in sacrament trays, and that was at least 5 years ago. That fanbase is way too thin-skinned.

Lose the tithing, but a big 9 is sexy. What does tithing have to do with Utah or our 10th straight next year? Just another thing for uptight Mormons (as opposed to those who aren’t) to get more uptight about. They’re persecuted enough with poo poo as it is.

His MO seems to be to act as a turnaround artist who finds teams performing below their personnel. USC is an obvious move if he is offered it. I’d guess Utah has sentimental value and could be plug and play on defense but he turned down Norte Dame in favor of Florida too…

Off field methodology (for those griping without access to text of the article) are academics/graduation rate, lack of ncaa violations, and no arrests.

You’re right, bud. Oline was pretty clean. Tight ends whiffed a lot on called runs but pass pro (when we did pass it) went pretty well. Hopefully that holds up in conference.

Huntley sauntered out there, said to himself “oh yeah this is a ‘rivalry’ right I’m supposed to talk smack”, and provides ironclad proof that he’s playing a part, not feeling it in his bones. His comment was a joke.
Which is what this rivalry is to him.
Which is why it stings.— Joe Silverzweig (@JSilverzweig) September 1, 2019
It’s still a big game to the fans. It’s still a big game to coaches, to boosters. Players from Utah- their parents live and die by the game.
To the kids themselves though? Huntley was 11 last time they won. It’s big to us. To a hotshot out of state recruit… it’s just Thursday.

I could see him move under Urban at USC before going to BYU as HC, and Scalley turned down an Ohio State job.
Firing Sitake would seriously harm the Poly pipeline. BYUs problems aren’t going to improve by dumping a head coach. They might when the fans finally turn on Tom Holmoe. He’s the charlatan that put them in this mess. If he’d just stayed…[Read more]
