You are making a lot of assumptions… too many for me to bother counting. Do you know for a fact that Johnson is better RIGHT NOW than Barnes? There is zero proof of that available to the public. We backed into the CCG. We lost three games before the RB, and played bad football in all of them. We played 6 games against teams with better talent than us, and we lost 4 of those games (including the Rose Bowl). We are improving, but we weren’t good enough to win that game. In hindsight, it’s really quite obvious.

Not sure why this felt like a sure win to anyone. They lost to OSU and Michigan. We lost to a garbage Florida team, a mediocre Oregon team, and a mediocre/decent UCLA. PSU is a better football team with better players.

Every single one of our best players was out other than Rising, and it didn’t take long for him to get hurt as well.

Barnes had a better completion percentage, more yards, and same TD/INT ratio… yet his QBR was less than 20, and Cam’s was nearly 90. I’m not saying it’s wrong, but what is it taking into account that shows Barnes played worse?

I gotta say it. If Nate was good enough to be the guy to take us to the next level of football success, you’d think he would be good enough to beat out Bryson Barnes… Right? Clearly the coaches aren’t sold on his ability to be a QB at this level, otherwise he would have played.

Hopefully he gets there eventually… He clearly isn’t there right now.

That’s us. If this staff had PSU’s recruits we would have won this game easily. We didn’t have the talent to compete with PSU. They had guys out, we had guys out. They have more depth than we do. Johnson would have done no better. What was he going to do that would have won us the football game? Break off several long TD runs in a row?

This defense did not have a vocal leader on the field. That was a major problem this year. Hubert should have been that, but wasn’t. He wasn’t a lot of things he should have been. Oh well.

We gave up a lot of offensive boards in the first half (it seemed that way anyway). missed free throws and stupid passes killed us in the second half.

13 a game isn’t that bad I think. It’s the timing of them that sucks. Missed free throws are should be a misdemeanor for college basketball players.

This team has gotten much better through player development, which says great things about coach Smith. Carlson finally has the strength he needs to play tough inside. Madsen and Stefanovic both shoot 40% plus.

With our QB situation up in the air, seems like it would be a terrible gamble unless he knows something about the qb situation that we don’t. If he comes back and the qb can’t throw accurately, he’ll lose a year of NFL play for nothing… just a random thought.

Anyone who thought the team was suddenly tournament ready after sucking ballsack for years doesn’t understand basketball. This team is trending VERY WELL, but still is not a good team.

The MC is not an easy place to play. Unfortunately losing to TSPP probably means fans don’t start coming back any time soon, but we are getting there.

How an offense performs against USC’s defense is not a good measuring stick of how they’ll perform against a team with Pedo State’s defense. They are the best defense we’ve faced all year. SDSU is 27th in totaly defense. Pedo State is 16th, we are 20th. We have not played a defense as good as this all year.
