I have no idea what it’s like in California.

Buk Buk is absolutely responsible for his own actions, but this could have been prevented.
A major part of the problem is a change to the way Juvenile crimes are handled these days in the state of Utah. If you are under 18 you have to commit several serious crimes before they will even consider giving you the support you need. A few years back…[Read more] -

exactly… sort of. Obviously we need wide receivers. Better wide receivers would in theory make this team better because Ludwig allegedly changes his offense based on the strengths of the team, but our identity is a run first, pass to tight ends/running backs/Coveys second, and pass to wideouts last. That’s what we do. We haven’t been a wide…[Read more]

chinngiskhaan replied to the topic Zion Steptoe decommited in the forum Football 3 years, 10 months ago
That’s kind of a double edged sword though. If we threw the ball enough to get high end WR we wouldn’t be in the running for guys like glover.
Also, i question this kid and his judgement if he is bailing because of lack of WR production. That has been a problem for years. If he didn’t know that then he had no business committing in the first…[Read more]

Will they be the favorite in 3/4 years when those guys would have been expected to contribute? No they won’t. That is the problem.

Aren’t going to throw to WRs, then does it really matter if one bails on us?

HOLY SHIT YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!!!
Are you seriously passing judgement on our WR coach that we just hired (late in the offseason I might add) ? He’s been on the staff for a grand total of THREE GAMES! GTFO with that bullshit take. Just go

I don’t expect to see these things. I won’t complain if I dont’ see them, but I hope to see the following:
– A team that is united
– Solid game plans on offense and defense (this is independent of our ability to execute against USC, well… as independent as it can possibly be anyway).
– A continuation of the defense we saw against WSU. Not…[Read more] -
chinngiskhaan started the topic So Moa is no longer committed… That is kind of shocking, but also not so bad in the forum Football 3 years, 10 months ago
He’s a good player, but he plays a position that we are absolutely loaded at… So doesn’t hurt us much if he doesn’t recommit to Utah.

The great thing about basketball is it only takes one guy to turn the entire thing around on a dime. If Smith is that guy, or if he can find the player version of that guy, the fans/attention will return. I’m not sure we have that guy at the moment. I think we have a bunch of scrappy players that may or may not be able to win games through team workiness.

BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA! Troy Taylor better than Ludwig? Our offense was LIGHTYEARS better when Ludwig took over… and we had pretty much the exact same team. The problem isn’t play calling. The problem is the players.

I think it’s pretty clear at this point that Ludwig was holding back a bunch of the offense throughout the year until we got way behind vs SDSU. I think they knew they could beat WSU without the long ball. If they had just held onto the ball, they would have thumped WSU without having to do anything even remotely risky.
If we are able to pass…[Read more]

4* wide receivers to consistently come to the University of Utah? We are getting 4* running backs and QBs. What is your gameplan (not for one specific game, but a plan of action going forward) for pulling in big time WR recruits?
If it was me I would do what I think Ludwig is currently planning on doing. Get athletic QBs that are reasonably…[Read more] -

I read today that he is indeed injured, and that is why he didn’t go back into the game (in case anyone else was wondering).

In light of recent events in our own football program, I have developed an entirely new (to me) perspective when it comes to coaching these young men. I don’t think it’s ever okay for a coach to come unglued on a player, unless they do something profoundly immoral, which isn’t likely to happen on the football field (and as such would not be a…[Read more]

I agree that everyone is pretty much always going through something… but this isn’t that. This is everyone going through the SAME thing. That’s not to say that you are wrong, but I do think it’s worth it to point out that the entire organization going through the same thing isn’t the same as everyone dealing with their own individual stuff. I…[Read more]
