I’ve noticed this topic on twitter, people making a fuss about a guy flipping to tds from Oregon State.

If this missionary poaching continues, at what point do big programs just reconsider offering kids who are going on missions? It seems like it only hurts the kids in the long run.

Interesting. I like hearing that, because it sounds like Whit is 1- encouraged about the direction of the offense, and 2- he is certain Covey is coming back to us and won’t be lured away to god’s university, which is tds fan’s wet dream.

I didn’t say Hurts is a bad QB, just that he is not special/amazing. I don’t think you’d have a hard time finding Alabama fans that agree with me. Maybe he will improve with time. And that he is better than any QB’s on Utah’s roster is not surprising, but there are certainly lesser programs than Alabama that have better QB’s.

My thoughts exactly. He couldn’t even beat out Jalen Hurts, and Jalen wasn’t amazing either. I’m skeptical.

Thanks for posting this. I have looked at Ufn before but don’t sign up there because it seems to be almost all politics. I like to occasionally talk politics but I am kind of burned out on that lately. Plus I think Tony does a nice job with this site, no offense to Ufn.

Agreed about Utah in tier 3. The Oregon game last year still stings. I hope we get revenge this year. I don’t expect us to blow them out like 2015, but since the game is still in October not November there’s a chance.
