Oh I get the hate for Taysom Hill. It’s the way the local media treats him. My circle of friends refers to him as “football Jimmer”, in reference to the amount of press he gets. It’s funny too because I don’t even think he’s close to being the best player BYU-Provo has in the NFL. So it’s not his fault, but I totally get the hate.

Honestly I’m glad to see it working. I’ve always felt that the SEC plays a stupid style of football…their success is just built on the fact that they get the best players. The air raid with SEC recruiting is going to put Leach in the top 10 every year.

Football has large rosters (more people with a chance to get infected and more people to spread it to) and they’re populated by kids in their late teens and early 20s, which is a demographic not exactly known for being disciplined about social distancing and mask wearing. I think it has more to do with the PAC12 being a collection of research universities. The PAC12 has a higher percentage of tier 1 research universities than any other conference.
