Gonna be interesting to see where Cameron Latu commits tomorrow. From what I’ve read on him, everyone is expecting Bama and that U$C hasn’t been pushing as much lately. If he doesn’t pick us, I hope he goes out of the conference.

Pac-12 Officiating! Sad!

I’m predicting 8 wins with a +/- of 1 overall. Reasons I’m optimistic: defensive front seven, offense (especially red-zone) cannot be worse than last year, very well-coached team overall, special teams.

Arizona: Win
Stanford: Win – we match up well and a home game.
USC: Loss

Preseason polls mean practically nothing. I’m surprised to see us on there at all given our roster turnover. In my opinion, rankings shouldn’t exist until week 4 or so, but that takes some entertainment value away from the game, I suppose.

I’d like him available for TDS-P. Some experience in the secondary will be necessary, I think. Tatum Mango shouldn’t be underestimated. I want there to be no doubt of a victory when we’re playing them.

Also sounded like he confirmed stadium expansion plans to close in the south endzone and bring RES to ~50K. You’re right though, no real surprises in the interview.

That’s hard to beat, Tony. But I’ll go with the big hit/interception combination from Chase Hansen and Marcus Williams in the Arizona game. Ending a 4 game losing streak to AZ and RichRod was a terrific feeling.

100% agreed. Whittingham is one of the best coaches in all of college football. He could land a job at a number of upper-tier schools. I’m grateful that he’s chosen to stay with us. He’s a quality guy who runs a quality program, and I hope that he retires as a Ute. I don’t think that we can do better.

That game was so painful to be at. Pissing rain, the stadium was rocking early and then it all just fizzled out.

Luke Falk is a helluva QB. I’m hoping our pass-rush will be able to rattle him early, throw him off a bit and stifle the offense somewhat. I know their defense has improved, but I still think it’s probably middle of the pack at best…[Read more]
