And in case you are wondering who the culprits are:
Kyle: 5
Devon: 3
Zo: 3
Sedrick: 3
Jayce: 2Kuz does so much for us, but for a man… I just don’t know. He shot 1-4 form 3, which with his percentage, you can almost count 1 if not 2 misses as turnovers because he only shoots 28% from 3 but 49% from 2. I still wouldn’t trade him for anybody…[Read more]

As I’ve mentioned previously, at some point following a loss, I have to move on, and the only way I do that is by looking realistically at why we lost. So here goes:
FG% 41.5% to 40.3% BUT Cal with 72 attempts to our 65, so edge to Cal with 2 more buckets despite lower percentage.
AND
3pt% 28.6% to 25% BUT Cal with 28 attempts to our 14, so…[Read more] -

So Cal is 7-3 and we are 6-4, so what. Cal will finish 12-6 at best, with losses to @AZ, home vs Oregon, and @Utah and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them lose to Colorado on Saturday making them 11-7.
USC is 6-4 like us, but they will finish 11-7 at best, with losses coming to Oregon, UCLA, Arizona.
We will finish at 13-5, with just one more…[Read more] -

I’m sure your kids took some serious life lessons from your example, and you certainly made the town of Alden & Conger very proud:

Agree for the most part, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see us sneak into a 7 or 8 seed if the season plays out like that, which I agree, it is better than possible we end up 23-9. If it plays out like that, 8 of our 9 losses will be to (then) top 25 teams. Not sure if Xavier will end season in top 25, they have been struggling. Won a barn…[Read more]

I’m not going to panic if we lose because as I’ve said repeatedly, we can still split with Cal, lose to Oregon, and still finish fourth. That said the caveat is that we NEED to win all the games we are supposed to win. With Colorado beating Oregon in Boulder, I’m getting nervous about that game. With Colorado’s resume being decent coming into…[Read more]

It would be exceedingly difficult to catch Oregon or Arizona at this point, however watching UCLA against WSU last night, UCLA is vulnerable. They may drop another game or two, so tonight is YUUUGGGGEEEE. We take care of the ball, we stay out of foul trouble and stay healthy, we win.
We have better players overall, man for man, I would take our…[Read more] -

I thought I heard here yesterday that he was one of two that were “sign and send”. Not sure if that means that they would redshirt then go on mission, or if they would go directly on mission. Guys like Jeff & Britton Johnson played one year before going on their mission.

PVD I think can develop into the assassin off the bench (he is close already), and Jayce maybe by his Junior year when Collette graduates could be a 20+ min center, but not next year. I guess I neglected Seeley because I don’t know much about him. Is he not eligible or redshirting? His stat line is empty, which explains why I didn’t recognize…[Read more]

Still have Barefield and Zamora, so starting lineup could be Daniels, Zamora, Tillman, Kuzma, Collette, with Barefield, Rawson, PVD, and Jayce coming off the bench. Would love to see one or two quality players that can produce right away. But right now, it would appear that losing Bonam and gaining Tillman is close to a wash talent-wise even…[Read more]

I don’t feel like we will have that WTF loss, but if there is an opportunity for one, it will be @ Colorado. That is the only one that scares me. I think keeping to just 2 more losses is possible, split with Cal and loss to Oregon. This team seems more bullet proof than teams in the past in terms of having 60% of our points in the paint, solid…[Read more]

I think it should be like touching the ball after it goes through the net, give the culprit a “delay of game” type of warning and record it. That way you put the player on notice that they are flopping and you wont’ stand for it. Then if he does it again, you can T him up. I think that would be a step in the right direction toward cleaning th…[Read more]
