I’m not certain that Burgess is #1 on the list for the simple reason that he has zero head coaching experience. For a tourney team like BYU, I would think that they’d be going for someone that at least has a head coaching track record.

It’s a done deal….Pope is LDS but he did graduate from UK and had a couple of pretty good seasons for the WIldcats (team captain when the Wildcats won the NCAA championship in 96). Makes sense to me.

Personally, I like Yeti…I think it’s a name that could build a cult following like the Kraken in Seattle. It’s original and I can really see some marketing opportunities. I also like Golden Eagles but just down the road you have the Golden Knights…a lot of gold on !-15.
