Cam developed under Tom Herman at Texas as well.

Can I ask you about the OL and DL play? Seems like the O-line was very disappointing this year. Maea would have helped, but it seems like Bills and Laumea, individually, weren’t as good as we hoped for. Was this due to the center play, bad QB play, defenses stacking the box, or were they simply not as good as we expected them to be? Fano is u…[Read more]

It would be so hard on Scalley if Whitt retired after next season. So many shoes to fill.
22Ute22 replied to the topic Would Mississippi State QB Will Rogers be a Good Portal Pick-up for the Utes? in the forum Football 5 months, 1 week ago
If he wants to start right away, he needs to transfer to a G5 team or bad P5 team. He couldn’t beat out Kyle MidCord for a starting spot, with a bunch of NFL caliber WR’s.

I made a post about Raleek Brown in like week 2 lol. He would be a great pickup for us. IMO he would fill the void left by Dixon.

Oklahoma State will probably be good next year dude. They started trash this year and got better, like 2021 Utah. I think they carry that momentum forward and you can never count out Gundy, who is their Whitt. Plus that game is in Stillwater. I think we should win, but that will be our most difficult game imo.

lol why did Barnes have beef with Whitt?
22Ute22 replied to the topic I hear Cam has decided to stay. in the forum Football 5 months, 2 weeks ago
I think he just hesitates and is afraid of making a mistake. He’s not playing loose. That rushing TD against Florida was an elusive play.

You got any insight on Dallen Bentley? Was excited to see him this year. I’m assuming he’s hurt?

I don’t know if King can even get to 240 pounds to be honest, at least 240 pounds of good weight. He seems like Kuithe in that he might be a tweener. He also is more of a reception TE tbh.

Rose transferring isn’t a big deal tbh. He was barely ahead of Barnes, per every reporter and even OnlyU and Ghost. So honestly, I’d rather have Barnes over Rose as a backup. Wonder how good Mack Howard is though.

This is BS. Most p5 teams do not have a versatile player like Vaki that can play both safety positions, Nickle corner, and playing close to the box.

You shouldn’t. Nebraska is a very unique case. They had so many things go right for them during their glory days, and when all those things went away, they naturally worsened as a program.
1) Nebraska was basically the first football program to do strength and conditioning the right way. All of modern CFB’s strength and conditioning has its fou…[Read more]

Hopefully Bills and Laumea come back. They are by far the best lineman we have. I’d welcome Maea back if he is actually that good, but we never get to see him, even though I could have sworn he was a game time decision for Oregon State…

You’re absolutely high if you’re serious. Wilson as a true freshman should not play a snap of meaningful football, especially since he will probably miss spring practice due to surgery. Did you forget about Dante Moore? Rose has no experience and was barely ahead of Barnes in camp. Johnson was always a QB project that might not ever work out. I s…[Read more]

do you think our coaches should go after? With Dumbo Fisher being fired, TAMU players will be highly sought after by the entire CFB world. Who do you think we should go after, based on potential needs for next year, and which ones do you think we could realistically get?
I’m personally thinking that we should go after a DT and maybe O-lineman i…[Read more]

I’d sorta believe it. Didn’t Leach say that as long as a QB is accurate, he can teach him everything else? Barnes is a fairly accurate QB imo. He just isn’t good at processing the game and making multiple reads, which is probably why he holds onto the ball so long.
22Ute22 replied to the topic Jaxson Dart to Utah? in the forum Football 5 months, 3 weeks ago
Dart has already played 2 seasons in the SEC. Another year of playing in the SEC isn’t gonna dramatically increase his stock, especially if he does worse if the competition increases. Coming to Utah, playing in a different system, and tearing it up against big 12 defenses might actually boost his stock more. Plus, Utah definitely has a MUCH b…[Read more]

Only reason I see him coming to Utah is if he wants a shot at the playoffs, and maybe wanting to play closer to home. Ole Miss is a good team, but I don’t think their better than a fully healthy Utah, and it’s also a tough league. I’d love to get him though. I think he is a better raw talent than Rising, which should offset the lack of famil…[Read more]
