To be fair, I don’t think we have anyone on our O-Line who wouldn’t get destroyed by Kayvon. But to address your concern, yes Bam is going to get destroyed by Kayvon. We’re going to have to try our best to double team him and keep whoever has the ball away from him at all cost.
The Ducks tend to move Thibs around quite a bit too, to try to neutralize teams scheming for him. It won’t just be Bam that he lines up against, but wherever it is they’ll need to have a plan ready. Double teams, and get rid of the ball quickly.
I think only 2 teams in the nation have an O-line that can slow kayvon down. Hopefully we scheme better then the CCG so he doesn’t single handedly beat us.
UW was able to nullify him by chipping with TE or RB and varying who was helping from play to play. As good as he is, frustrating him is much more effective than just double teaming him every play. He’ll eventually beat it and it also frees up the rest of their D Line.
He’s good but you can’t adjust your scheme so much that you are playing 10 on 11.
