They complain about the fouls against them when they were trying to foul Lovering and Asur. 4-12 in overtime I wish they wouldn’t have called any fouls. The fouls benefited them yet they blame the loss on the refs.

The Huntsman Center is a wonderful building when it is packed and the atmosphere was incredible last night. Significant number of vocal Cougar supporters but Ute fans were much louder.

I agree with everything you said. But you didn’t answer my question. Do you still invest in going to football games despite our passing percentage being 103rd in D1 this past season? And if yes, why the difference?

I’m not trying to noodle you…I’m just curious about how fan psychology works and this is a particularly interesting one to me.

It’s worth pointing out that Lawson’s BPM of 5.5 is still really good. That’s NBA All-Star level. And if Ezra and Hunter were able to maintain their BPM, they would both be All-Americans.

The highest BPM over the course of an entire NBA season was Jokic in 2021-2022. His BPM was 13.7.

This is why I don’t want to really invest in going to the games. Look at how pathetic that percentage is.
You gotta make your team at least above 70% every game. Those are the effort things as well. Utah runs away with this game if you just capitalize when the other team gives you free shots.

BYU basketball really knows how to live up to the standards set by their sponsors. PACS is being investigated for fraud. Apparently, BYU basketball should be too!

Isn’t he a 70%+ free throw shooter? Based on how our team shoots free throws, that’s got to be one of the best percentages on our roster?

His post game was kind of lame too. Kind of seems like a dick. Basically blames the refs but then also says the classic “not why we lost” garbage.

One of those nights. In crunch time they left Dawes open for a 3, that is not his shot, and we needed a bucket. I thought oh no, but he drained the shot.

I have not noticed it so much in other games but tonight I could see being tired factor into FT shooting. In the first half we shot FTs very well. Coming down the stretch we were tired but then so was the Y. You could see they wanted to foul Lovering at the end. Great win. Smith coached a good game and we matched up athletically with the cougars. Might be the only other team in the Big 12 we match up with. Our bigs played physical and caused them problems. Hopefully this win will shut them up for a day or two. Haha
