Shame. I have a lot more inconvenient facts, too.

I vote we keep this board a sports board and dump the politics.

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic The area we can make the biggest improvement this season? in the forum Football 12 hours, 33 minutes ago
By Whitts own admission they didn’t adjust the schemes with a much bigger turnover of players. The offense and defense were complicated and took time to learn. Having 4-5 years to groom players it worked. Player development was the coaches calling card.
The NIL Portal era has changed that philosophy. Freshman and transfers need to be ready i…[Read more]

A lot of player/position talk going on but it seems to be the place we can make the biggest improvement this season is coaching, especially on the offensive side and special teams. How much better would last season have gone if our coaching staff could evaluate:
1. Whether a QB can play football
2. Whether a QB is too injured to play football -

The best thing football could do if they were serious about protecting the health of athletes would be to get rid of pads and helmets. Make guys have to tackle properly. Of course, with fans’ and media’s obsession with the “big hit” and replays of big hits, this will never happen.

the man who cut all ties with him when he found out he was a sex offender
Oh you’re that gullible. Here’s a quote from another pedophile
, but this one you’ll choose to believe:
“I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy… He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on th…[Read more]

I don’t wanna step on AZUte’s sources, but I do have a massively different take on Hill and I have some background as to why. So both of my in-laws are Weber State alumni and longtime boosters. Along with being pretty good friends with several folks in the AD’s office, Jay Hill and his family actually lived 3 houses down from them in South Ogden…[Read more]

I like the positivity but Utah’s future is murkier than I think you’re suggesting.
1. It’s not certain Utah will bounce back big this year. They should be improved but it’s also possible that improvement only nets them sn additional win or two compared to last year.
2. Utah is not on the Big 10’s radar. Utah can try to work that Big 10 invite…[Read more]

Ah, the words of the world’s most notorious sex offender and a known liar, who certainly didn’t have an axe to grind against the man who cut all ties with him when he found out he was a sex offender. Great source to base your opinion about someone on.
To answer your question, I can only speculate. Maybe it provides him some sort of leverage.…[Read more]

I wish the U would. Greg was one of the most undersized D’tackles ever. He survived, even excelled, by playing with extreme effort and throwing his body around. Think about the collisions this man created and suffered. Brutal.
These stories always set me off a little. I don’t understand why football at every level hasn’t adopted rugby-style…[Read more]

Utah had a ridiculously easy schedule last year. It was their easiest schedule since the MWC days. They won two conference games. Yes, they were a decent QB away from maybe being in contention for the Big 12 title but that team still couldn’t take advantage of a Big 12 that didn’t have one stand-out team and all the big players, sans ASU, at home.…[Read more]

Not sure how you could put Kansas and UCLA there but not BYU. That game is generally scary even when Utah is okay (I still remember the half-assed first half of the 2018 game and the rapid, and desperate, comeback to pull out a stunning win). That game scares me because BYU has had Utah’s number the last two times they’ve played and are likely…[Read more]

I don’t expect him to choose Utah, but will be very shocked if he does. If he does, more power to Utah. However, with him being the highest rated 5 star coming out of Utah, I would expect him to pick the highest bidder.

Read a X post yesterday from one of our Ute insiders (forgot exactly who) that it is still between us and Tennessee.
On another note, on 247sports it states that Moa is now a composite 5-star:
“Local standout Salesi Moa jumped 0.0139 points in the composite ranking, going from 0.9712 to 0.9850. That jump would put him in the top half of the…[Read more]

I wish people would stop treating political parties as if they were sports teams deserving of loyal fans.

Not a bad list, but I am higher on Colorado than I am UCLA. Is UCLA higher on your list because it is a road game?
