Why the hate on hiring former Cougars? Whitt was a Cougar. That has worked our pretty well for the last 30 years. The offensive staff has had some major position changes which everyone wanted.

Well, I got my wish that if Whitt came back it would be with an overhauled Offensive staff.

Now I wish that I had been more specific and the overhaul wouldn’t be with (3) former players from the parochial school.,,

Happy about the RB update. Love Ganther, but it just felt like that room was on a downward trajectory under his watch. Atuaia seems like a great fit. Unfortunately, he’s a Cougar. And his Twitter farewell to WSU was kind of strange. Sounds like he had some beef w/ the WSU fans.

Rose was my initial thought. I don’t think Rose has enough game tape to get a big check or a starting spot from a P4 school. Battling with Dampier and (insert other Transfer QB) might be one of his best options). I guess time will tell!

Staff changes

Rose. I read that there are over 100 QBs in the portal. He hasn’t done enough to get a great NIL deal or trade up. He’d likely only have lesser options.

New Mexico’s top receiver is in the portal. Luke Wysong would seem like a real possibility. He has 1 year of eligibility remaining, so going with his NM OC and QB would make sense.

That’s what I’m thinking…it should be once a year right after the end of the Spring semester…you could even keep the 16-25 April that’s already there. Sports and NIL are really starting to affect the university experience to the extent that I fear a backlash will be coming soon.
