Nurse also said he had special orthopedic inserts and didn’t really care for UA’s cleats.

Let’s not start that again. Utah need to at least finish their humble pie before it’s fans start demanding respect not yet earned.
If it wasn’t obvious before, it should be now. College football is a QB driven game. Iowa State and K State will be bringing back junior QB’s with plenty of starting experience. TCU just needs to figure out their…[Read more]

Absolutely. As you say, no dominant team exists in the Big 12. Any or all could go winless or undefeated. UCF is sitting on a veritable recruiting gold mine. So is Houston. ASU close to it, not only because of the huge Phoenix area, but because of their proximity and history with SoCal recruits…any of those teams gets their stuff together,…[Read more]

Another reason why Whitt needs to open up practice.
Too often he brings a player in, gives them reps over better players, plays them over better players, sticks with them over better players.
If practice was open, we’d at least be able to ask Whitt:
Why Brewer over Rising?
Why Wilson over Rose?
Why Loener over King?
Why Pittman over…[Read more] -

As did I. Loved every minute of it. But looking back, it was dangerous as hell and wouldn’t want to do so again.

I’m so tired of the phrase “the most awful things…about Mormons…”
If it’s true, and you think it’s awful, then that’s a you problem. And that’s my issue with that group. It’s a bad group that does bad things and when you call them out for it, they get mad at you instead of looking in the mirror and changing.
And watch, after I post this the…[Read more]

Yep. Sometimes people only hear the first part of the sentence. This is not a meritocracy/charity letting just ANY 5 conferences in. It’s still P4 tilted (with a bone thrown to 1 G5 team – usually) and the SEC and B1G filling most of the at large spots.
I could see a one-loss or even two-loss (CU) Big 12 team being the only representative with…[Read more]

Mantis, you guys make me laugh…you’re so immature as a fan base…one whiff of incomplete success and you’re on top of the world…what will happen if you lose to Kansas on Saturday? Will people be jumping off the Moroni Statue in Temple Square in despair? You have to understand that, outside of Utah, it’s people like you who are different,…[Read more]

Also, there is no Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon in the Big 12.
Utah could easily run the table next year, in large part because the Big 12 is so bad.

2008 National Champ replied to the topic College Football Playoff Rankings FORGET BYU, Colorado in the forum Football 8 months, 2 weeks ago
correct. It’s the 5 highest ranked conference champions that get autobids with the four highest ranked getting byes. That guarantees a G5 but doesn’t limit it to only one.
It’s conceivable that a P4 school could lose 2 of their non-cons like Utah did in 2021, lose two more in conference but still qualify for their CCG. Then that 4 loss team…[Read more]

This is what I found regarding selection and seeding to the CFP:
The five highest-ranked conference champions receive automatic bids to the College Football Playoff (CFP), including the four Power Four conference champions and one Group of Five champion. The top four seeds receive a first-round bye, and the fifth-ranked conference champion is…[Read more]

Glover ran better the last two games, with a lot more purpose. It’s tough to tell though when you only get a couple of carries. I’m not saying he had earned more but short of thinking he should take it to the house every time he touched the ball, what level of improvement do you really expect in season?

Just like in politics there are no eternal friends nor eternal enemies, in the current NIL-fueled college football landscape there are no eternal winners nor eternal losers.
Indiana: 3-9 last season, 10-0 this year.
ASU: 3-9 last season, 7-2 this year.
Colorado: 4-8 last season, 7-2 this year.
BYU: 5-7 last season, 9-0 this year.
Washington: 14-1…[Read more] - Load More
