Little was underused IMHO. He had talent and flashes of brilliance. I didn’t have an issue with Smith, but this is one player I think he fell short on .

I hear you, but sometimes it can go well (see Taysom Hill, Tebow, etc.). Our lord and savior Urban Myer was very good at coming up with ways to manufacture success through things like this. Obviously these sort of “hybrid” situations look great when they work, and terrible when they don’t, and they haven’t worked well at Utah for a few years…[Read more]

ugh… I know that should be a good thing, but I cringe every time I hear that the offensive staff is trying to squeeze a player into the rotation. Just pick a team identity and stick with it. Get players that fit that identity. If they don’t fit, they can play somewhere else. Now, maybe hybrid player Nate does fit that identity, and that is…[Read more]

I read an article recently (not sure how legitimate the source) about Hunter, and how he will be a great weapon for us this year. He’s supposedly 6 ft 3, 240 lbs, and was clocked at 4.45 in the 40. While I doubt that he can genuinely run a sub 4.5 40, He is blazing fast for his size if he can get anywhere near that. I am excited to see what he can…[Read more]

I heard that Nate scored on an 80-yard run. He was playing RB at the time. Sources close to the program tell me that he will be used as a hybrid player, much like Taysom Hill for the Saints. I welcome that idea. Beck is working on how best to utilize his skills in the offense.
KSL has a nice article on Dampier. KSL article

I don’t know if that’s good or bad for basketball, but it certainly is good for the individuals cashing the checks. It’s the only reason why guys like Lovering are politicking to get a fifth year of eligibility when he has no legitimate leg to stand on. Somewhere down the line, you might see players challenging the whole “four years of…[Read more]

If he was paid $500K, then that shows how screwed up the system is. Based on his performance this season, Little wouldn’t even be a benchwarmer in the G League, and even the best players there earn a flat base salary of $40,500 for the five to six-month season. It’s the world turned upside down…

Yes more should be added.
That definitely includes Doleac and Grant.

OK those sound like fair points. Thanks for enlightening me.
I don’t have a problem with Vranes being in the rafters, I just think it’s less evident why he’s up there compared to the others (minus Bogut).
But your insight definitely lends some credibility to his inclusion.

I can’t imagine Utah going this hard on a build up for the program if they aren’t gonna improve their NIL situation much. It would be a total waste of time and resources.
So I think they have to have assurances from boosters/donors.

TomahawkCruise replied to the topic Miro Little highest paid NIL in the forum Basketball (Men) 1 month ago
Yeah he’s got obvious talent but he’s clearly a project that Utah doesn’t need to be spending $500k on to ride the bench.

interested to know if the school and/or boosters/donors have the $$$ or unlimited NIL to bring in top notch staff and talented players and won’t go into debt or bankruptcy because of it.
i’m curious to know since it seems or appears the football program didn’t compete or match NIL offers for players that left, and was it because they didn’t think…[Read more]

Didn’t know this about his personality.

IMO, Boguts may be the most deserving player to have his number retired. He was the consensus national player of the year, he was first team AA, he was first picked in the NBA draft, etc. By the standards set up by the university, (he only played two years) he would not have qualified for the honor. However, no other player received the…[Read more]
