I thought Deivon Smith was pretty good last year.

Yes, some do. For example our best men’s nordic skier missed some of the season because he was in the FIS cross country world cup

Lol, Lincoln Riley was a walk-on who didn’t play a down for Leach (who also never played football) at tech and has coached 3 of the last 7 Heisman winners…

Congratulations! I don’t follow ski events of the Utes, but once in awhile I watch some of the Olympic events and some of the world ski events.
Are there any ski team members who can compete on the world stage?

Good for Luke! I thought he was great and showed a lot of grit in the few chances he had quarterbacking the Utes. He will have a chance starting as a Grad assistant to develope and I hope for him he has a good career in coaching.

The old adage ‘if you can’t do, coach’. His size probably limited him and buried on the depth chart led to fewer reps to get better. As a grad assistant, not like he’s a lead/position coach, but will be, well, assisting and learning. Could end up working up through college ranks over the years or go high school – but creating future options for…[Read more]

Little heats up from time to time (kept the game in Provo from becoming quite ugly). Would like to see him stay around. Gets consistent minutes and could become a valuable asset.

I hope Jensen will retain Wahlin Dawes Mike S. and Asur. They could form a good nucleus for next year. We need a point guard 2 guard and center.

Man, GM did everything asked of him and more on a crappy team with very little help. Madsen on a team with better talent would have been fun to watch. Ball handling and driving to the basket is not his game. When no other player can handle the ball, drive to the basket or make lay ups someone has to step in. Watched the BYU game and spots of other…[Read more]

You have to wonder how the Utes would have looked if he had a bit more game time during the season. His running ability really threw Iowa State for a loop during the short time that he was in the game.

That stat drives me crazy Miami. So hard to watch. Other than Azur and KD nobody else can finish at the rim. So we overpass driving. Plus our 7’0 center is either at the top of the key or can’t score posting up one on one. No double teams and the shooters are covered.

It doesn’t help that the team commits so many turnovers. Last night, 17 turnovers, was typical of the season. The Utes continually gift opposing teams large numbers of possessions which translate into more points. Hopefully, Jensen’s teams will be more disciplined from the get-go.

3-14 for the game…all 3’s… no other different shot taken.

It would be more difficult to ski if you were a liquid.

The streak would be even longer than that if COVID hadn’t happened. The 2020 natty was in the bag with 1 race remaining when COVID cancelled it on the final day.

We are officially a skiing DYNASTY…if it wasn’t for last year’s fluke loss to Colorado, Utah would be on a six year winning streak.
