SportsbyBrooks has been told by a source close to the USC Administration & Board of Trustees that if the Trojans are embarrassed by Utah at home tonight in a major blowout, Clay Helton will be relieved of his duties as the school's head football coach. #USC #UTAHvsUSC #ClayHelton

Keep him!
Anything other than a Utah blowout is gonna have me in cardiac arrest the whole game.
Yes, let’s win by three.
Or better yet, fire Helton, and hire Holmoe!
How motivating for the team. You commit to the school not the coach.
Oh great, this could be one of those “win one for the Gipper” scenarios.
It could also be one of those, “hey, if we lose, Urban Meyer will be our coach this time next week!” scenarios… Which would bode very well for us. If I was a player, and didn’t like my coach, and new that Urban Meyer was knocking on the door, I would have a really hard time playing my absolute hardest. Heck, even if I did like Helton, at this point the players know it’s only a matter of time before he gets the boot, so it would be hard all around.
Some SC insiders are saying they’re taking the BYU loss with levity. Some are saying they’ve quit on Helton.
Let’s hope it is the quit scenario.
Even if they quit on him, they probably dislike us, and the hype around us, that they’ll play well regardless.
I read your title in sensei John Kreese’s voice from the classic film, Karate Kid.
After Covey scores the winning touchdown as time expires, Ali Mills (Elizabeth Shue) runs on to the field and confesses her love for him and Clay Helton is fired in the parking lot after smashing car windows with his fists.
Go Utes
Does Whitt honk Helton’s nose after a fight in the parking lot?
Yes, and then they do a bad reboot on YouTube 20 years later.
You shut your whoreouth. Bad reboot. Phase.
